The fuck is this? Your reasoning is pretty flawed there anyway, not playing longterm definately has consequences. My execution is fine already again, but that isn’t what I meant. The harder things are i.e. spacing properly with normals at midrange and the use of proper anti-airs against opponents in the 4000pp + range.
Also considering I played Gen since Vanilla I like to think I have more then enough knowledge on the character, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to have done so much labwork in the past regarding Oga cross-ups and other shenanigans, a lot of which Xian is now using regularly.

Alright alright, so I have covered most of the Basics right now, would like some people to just read through it abit and see what they think. I hope someone who isn’t playing Gen could look and give feedback on if its written nicely and understandable.
Next up is probably all the good stuff, Oga cross-ups, safejumps, and other shenanigans, which are all here somewhere on this board so its just a matter of me finding it, rewriting it, and putting it in the file. Will take some time though as Gen has so much shit to discuss and I need to think about what is really important and what is little more than a gimmick (maybe I’ll make a gimmicks section aswell…).
Oh and btw don’t mind the weird layout shifts, it happens when you upload to google docs and it isn’t my fault.

Jesus christ, you guys are just trying to destroy morale or something. Some of us still want this bible to be made and still love to play the game. Either help (just do it Q_Q) or go complain about sf4 somewhere else. Preferably on the marvel boards.

Thanks for the suggestions FADE OUT. I will incorporate them befire moving on to writing new stuff. I was indeed planning to add a match-up list.
I’m still working on some cross up stuff, but a small note for the Ultra 1 section that touches on each character. For Ibuki, since it goes through the kunai, you should definitely note that it’s an amazing punish for the overall vortex that ibuki is known for.
I also want to note that I already edited my comment about cr.lk -> st.lp being the main start to the bnbs. The only characters that it completely whiffs on are dan, chun, cammy, and blanka. That being said, the other characters require a delayed st.lp which I assume a lot of people will just decide is an unnecessarily harder link (it’s not hard in general, but just the fact that it is harder and for only 5 damage. also Gen is already hard enough) and continue doing cr.lp for the guarantee. Regardless, 5 damage is still damage in my book.

After I finish safejump setups section, I will go more indepth about Oga, what its uses are and the different cross-up possibilities. I think its useful to dedicate a seperate section on Oga because unlike other shenanigans it has a pretty core place in Gen’s gameplan and has proven to be relatively reliable.

Im not too sure about doing a full match up guide aswell. A lot of people play matchups differently and honestly writing entire pieces on each character is a little too much work for something that can be found in the match-up thread. Id rather focus on making this guide really focused on Gen himself instead.
