How does she not qualify to be low tier? She’s got very low damage, the worst lifebar in the game, unsafe strings, no good air moves etc. The only thing she’s got going for her is her d+X for people who aren’t good enough to hit wakeup supers with any other character.
BTW there’s plenty of talk in the shitty games thread about this game.
Could you direct me to said thread, or was that sarcasm?
Anyway, you make good points; actually, you make the definitive points as to why she’s low tier. I suppose she’s only good at keep away, and even then it isn’t safe. Her A attacks, no matter what you use, have a good stall length, but they’re easy to avoid.
Here supers are what keep her from being 100% awful; either one is good for a strat, and they’re great for wake up.
The thing is, everyone else also has good supers. It’s not like she’s the only one who can do wakeup supers, and at a high level, you should be able to do your own character’s wakeup super consistently. But her standing X does crap damage, tho it drains bar. Itachi’s drains all the bar and does like, 2x the damage, neji and A.Hinata’s also drain hella bar and do hella damage, same with Kisame. Theirs are also much easier to hit. Tayuya really doesn’t have a good way to combo into it. She has like, throw BBX, or BBBAAA BBX (wall must be there, and they must fly STRAIGHT, and not on an angle otherwise you wont be able to hit the BBX, they also have to have like, NO chakra when you start the combo. Too many stipulations) Her d+X is too slow to do after anything except like, BB, and wakeup is the only real time to use that one outside of BBd+X.
Her a attacks suck, even if you hit, which is rare, they do crap damage. And once your opponent starts sidestepping giants or just straight up b+Bing them, youre screwed.
She’s pretty awful, any half decent character can easily put her in her place without much effort, sadly. Her character idea is cool, but too much crapiness to make her unable to be used seriously.
After you buy GNT4 there is no point to own any of the other one’s IMO
But besides that I main Sasuke (non-CS2) Kimimaro (CS2) and Hoshigake Kisame, good times
EX2 is OK. It’s not terrible like EX1, but it’s also not a great game either. It adds some variety tho…
However, if you have GNT4, you dont need GNT1-3 obviously, and even GNT Revolution 1 is pointless. GNT Revolution 2 is starting to get a scene in the US since it just recently came out, but the way it’s looking, it’s NOT better than gnt4.
how so? GNT rev 2 isn’t bad so far from what I’ve played besides them nerfing Rock >( but that’s just me hating on changes to my character lol. I made a thread for rev 2 but I haven’t really had much play time with it. but I played some more with Rioting Soul earlier…just haven’t made a post yet.
Edit: Bando is probably at least high if not top IMO
I still can’t believe there isn’t a random option in GNT4. the clock on my GNT3 save reads 94 hours because I could sit, choose random and go to town.
It’s a staple of fighting games; why remove it?
I never played EX1, but EX2 seemed faily decent. The cpu difficulty is a joke, which makes the challenge none existent. Unfortunately, EX3 is looking more and more like a cash grab as opposed to anything new and updated. If I hear about more difficult AI, then I’ll pick it up.
Otherwise, I’m on the fence.
Sonichuman - They took out aspects that made the game playable at a higher level (like billy no jutsu, aka turn around throw), while leaving in some stupid broken stuff, like OTK BBBA (cept getting rid of the ability to sidestep it) and Temari’s j.B. Kabuto also regens like crazy. Sucky characters still suck, and them getting rid of some of the more fun characters like Kimi is a letdown. Overall, they changed stuff, but not what REALLY needed to be fixed, and it has that strange feeling Revo engine where the GNT4 “Outsmart your opponent stuff” doesn’t always work. Not saying it’s terrible, but GNT4 is better.
And what kind of advice. Overall, you just want to poke and be safe and delay your strings and stuff o make them attack when you want them to. Shes pretty safe so you should be able to do bnjs all the time.
I haven’t unlocked otk yet so I don’t know what they’ve changed about him…one thing that I really dislike that they did in comparison to rev 2 and gnt 4 was the was taking out the ability to use an autoguard move between strings when you’re getting pelted with them. You can only do them in rev 2 when there’s pretty big pause.
Ok, well, overall she sucks. It also depends on who your opponent uses. Against some characters, her “safe” string (BBBBA) is unsafe, and against some other characters, you can’t even do BB safely.
