Premium in Houston is around $3.01
The question is, how high are we going to let gas prices get before we all decide we’ve had enough of this shit, and something drastic goes down somewhere? I.E. Riots when the masses can’t afford to get to work anymore. LA has been teeming for a riot, it’s been a few years since we had one outside of a schoolyard, so who knows.
Yeah man I hear ya, costs me 55-60 bucks to fill my car! Doesnt help that I drive to Barrie and back for school everyday too. Im lucky if a tank lasts me a full week.
$2.85 for 87 octane rating.
The cheapest I’ve filled up on this year was $2.20 of 87 octane, two months ago. It only lasted for one short night and the next day it went up again.
Gas prices = Ownage!
Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous gas out here (Palmdale/Lancaster) is, on average, $2.99. Somehow, it’s actually cheaper in the Valley(If you live in SoCal you’d understand why this is weird). I’m going to start taking the train down to the Valley.

It seems time for everyone to switch to hybrid or fully electric cars,
This shit is crazy.
Every summer i drive from here to connecicut,
And in August a family member is having a wedding back here.
With all of those cars going back and forth, thats around 10,000 just to get to the areas.
Shit, I’m going to buy gas canisters and fill them up and save them until prices go higher.
EDIT: and prices here vary from 2.87 to 3.19
yeah, you guys don’t get to complain about gas prices. Gas prices in America are infinitely cheaper than most other parts in the world. I saw a gas station this morning that was $1.20/litre. That’s roughly $4/gallon. It’s even higher overseas.
I filled up last week at like .95 and am hoping that it will last me at least for the weekend.
Before Spring Break, Gas was about $1.98
But now its $2.85 and its only gonna get higher =/
It sucks being a Pizza deliever guy.
Tips are not even worth shit now.
Dont forget how we marylanders are screwed because of the hike of Gas and electric. 75 fucking %!!!
It’s $3.00 - $3.25 a gallon out in South Cali. It’s a bunch of bullshit but we all know there’s nothing we can do about it but take the bus or bike it to work. And for me, neither are an option.
It’s going to keep going way up for a while. Keep in mind that gas is relatively cheap in the US compared to parts of Europe, it’s not that bad now.
The issue isn’t a shortage of gas, but that more industrialized nations need petrol to make goods and fuel their industry. So there isn’t really a way to lower the price. In fact part of the reason the price of gas is going up is so we will use less of it in cars, and leave it for more important uses.
As for me, I take the metro, saves money, saves time, and I don’t have to pay $300 parking a month at my building.
HAHA!! The highest I’ve seen gas here in Utah is $2.47… and that’s Premium! One thing you gota love about Utah… it’s the lowest gas cost in the entire U.S. So while I am feeling some burn… it’s NEVER gotten anywhere near $3.00
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
$2.33 at my local Maverick.
Gas here in Vegas is supposedly $2.80 at the average…damn, guess no more going to the Strip for me
Ah…but you have to live in Utah.
Sure, you save $0.40 a gallon, but is it worth your very soul?
ROFL…CLASSIC pure CLASSIC

I’ve been working on metro and frnakly speaking its still cheaper to drive unless you have a major commute or have to park “in” DC.

Other areas like Europe allow the use of diesel fuels which in some ranges won’t pass our inspections hence why people are looking at diesel hybrids as an answer - 45 mpg withelectric handling the part that won’t pass inspections I’ve also just seen a better transportation system, but thats another story…

Gas prices have gone up for a bajillion reasons and thats why anaylst have had a hard time pinning it - its not just one or two things. You have the conflict with Iran who are like #2 with Crude oil - however one of the largest suppleirs of oil used for gasoline is actually Nigeria who if you’ve been following have been going thru it. Then there is the change in the mixture for gasoline to ethanol I think it was that the government forced EVERYONE to change to over a 6 month window - when the process is extremely different and more expensive - ethanal can’t be traveled thru pipes like the previous mixed ingredient in gas - no instead it gets packeg in trucks and sent around…way slower and more expensive. Then you have the fears of actual oil shortages and fears of lying especially in Iran about how much oil they ‘really’ have left. Just for fun we get to add in China and India stepping up their game so that they are consuming WAY more supply/demand, and with prices going so ballistic its real easy for companies to try and shimmy extra money out of people’s pocket since the oil companies don’t feud like other industries - they make each other richer and have insiders.

To save money the best I’ve been able to do is drop from premium gas to a notch below - which I’m not fond of but its not bad just need to clean my fuel injectors periodically more.

this is where it’s at, but too bad our government is too greedy/lazy to fully adopt this idea.
They caught some gougers today selling gas for $4.50 a gallon!!
i wonder if it’s the *exact *same people who jacked it up around the time katrina struck…
It’s rather simple. We need to just completely eradicate OPEC or whoever runs the shit, generally speaking. Yes, that’s my final solution. Kill them all without the slightest hesitation…and TAKE their goddamn oil. Fuck the fucking fuckers.
oh, and those lower on the chain of power, doing the simple price gouging…gouge their eyes out with rusty knives…slowly. Pour salt into the eye sockets afterwards. Basically, I’m just tired of people like this being allowed to exist.
