Take it from me, if you get the Haynes, it doesnt matter if you are a girl or a guy. It is written so that anyone can do it and it has lots of pictures so that helps too. The only thing that I could see a girl having a hard time with in car repair is like loosening the bolt that holds the crankshaft pulley to the engine or something with like 100ft/lbs. My wife knows how to change her own oil (still makes me do it…), and she isnt mechanically inclined. Besides, the things you are looking for are very simple begginer friendly items.

Shit man this is getting Ridiculous. Last week gas was around $2.70 now in the past few days it jumped to $3.05. WTF?! This is really pissing me off, and the bad thing it that it can only get worse:annoy:.
Gas rose 4 bux a barrel yesterday…so fill up NOW. As to why its not just one reason…it never is…
-elections lowered gas
-weakening dollar makes it cost more
-two bombings at actual pipelines a couple days ago
-hostage situations
-the whole pakistan issue w/ war in Iraq

the worse parts? Its winter (1) and (2) its not going down anytime soon. In a couple weeks it should be back around 2.80…but I don’t see it dropping past that for a very long time.
At my local Arco station, gas right now is ~$3.25/gal. EVERYONE goes to that station. So much so you actually waste a lot of gas waiting in line, making it almost pointless to go to that gas station.
Not actually, Exxon posted much lower margins this quartewr, gas stations in general are making less and less money with the raising prices…why do you think so many gas stations are closing down these days? If it was such a high mark-up more and more gas stations would be opening up. Ever since the DC sniper time frame when gas prices started going up, gas stations switched to ‘water’ for the wiper blades…they just don’t make the bucks.
The only reason gas prices haven’t spiraled further out of control are tax cuts, the ‘previously impending election’ and not surprisingly everyone trying to invest in oil. Someone was paying for it, heh.

Matter of fact it was official as of last saturday when i picked up these two youngins and drop em off. I got about 7 bux and yep it went to the car. :lol:
$3.60 for unleaded here. I drive a Toyota Prius Touring(lol) so I’m not hurting as much as others. Averaging 525 for 11 gallons but gas prices is still crazy in Cali.
