3.25 here for unleaded…slowly dropping out in E.C, Indiana home of the tubthumper!!!
Can somebody Combo Break the fuck out of gas hikes already?
i’d love to ride a bike but:
- it would take me hours to get to work
- with the humidity, i’d be a sweaty mess
$2.93 at SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETZ
$2.99 anyone else…going to pull the 'ol “i’m working from home cause gas cost too much and you fuckers don’t pay me enough” excuse at work tomorrow…LOL
Its costing me 80 bucks in gas a month just to drive to work and back.
same boat, cept im going to SCHOOL! I don’t even make 2000 a year rite now:sad:
I’m so financially fucked it’s not even funny.
well im apart of the crowd now and it is annoying where one day it is 2.83 and then the next it is 2.99. Or this one gas station was the lowest in area and it was at 2.79. then when you use credit to fill it up it says 2.83 for credit transactions. I was :wtf: are you serious? no wonder this place is empty as hell inspite of it being lower than the texaco down the street by 8 cents. there is another that is even lower and that one is the one in sams club and of course you have to be a member to get it.
I saw $3.40 for premium out here in Ypsilanti, MI last night, and I damn near almost killed myself after realizing my tank was 1 day away from E. I’m about to walk/bike my black ass to school, despite the fact that in a few weeks its gonna be like 20 degrees.
$80 in a month? Wow before I moved closer to work, I used to spend close to $60 every 4 or 5 days for me to go to work and back.
I’m surprised it took this long for people to notice that the cost of gas per barrel is an all time high - hovering around 92-93 bux…with no foreseeable drops.
And this is the fucking winter…
I fill up about 2.5-3.5 times a week…I’m dropping anywhere from 100-160 bux a week - average a little over 500 bux a month on gas right now…and its going to keep going up…and this is WINTER.
The 6 bux a gallon in “I Am Legend” maybe be an understatement…
- :bluu:
My car used to get 400 miles to a tank (about 12 gallons) two years ago.
The other day I hit half a tank at like 130. Is it normal for cars to drop off in mileage over time? my car has 64,000 right now… it’s a fuckin Sunfire, how can mileage be this bad?! I put my cruise on fucking 60 on the freeway to average 20 mpg? The F? What kind of car with a 2.2 liter engine averages 20 mpg when I drive 60 on the freeway at least half the time?
You got other stuff going on with your car. Maybe it is your tires or your oil or extra weight in the car or something.
despite the ongoing gas crisis, I still refuse to goto the “discount” gas stations
I’m glad i drive an echo. But it sucks that i deliver pizzas. As gas goes up, people tip less. They keep increasing delivery charges and don’t give an extra cent to the drivers. I hate my life.:bluu:
This thread depresses me.
Paying - $3.23. A full tank for 5 days(includes going to work…and ONLY going to work) cost $39. Sigh.
What are you driving bro? Gas here is 2.78 and it takes me $35 to fill up my tank. It roughly last 3 days. Damn Ford Ranger sucks up gas fast. Shit if this gas keeps getting higher and higher then I might just have to sell it and get a motorcycle.
2.94 here havent had a car too fill since mines is bonked for abit.
A '95 Mitsubishi Galant. Only takes unleaded.
Would probably help if my job wasn’t 3 cities over…
Cars lose mileage over time. Some of it is general tune up maintenance. Some of it is just wear and tear on an engine.
Things you can go check and replace (tune up shit is pretty cheap overall):
–spark plugs. My Corolla got about 29 MPG when I bought her. As soon as I changed the plugs, she shot up to around 32 or so. Take them out, and if the electrodes are too worn out, time to get new ones. They usually run for a couple bucks a piece or so. Your car being GM, you can probably run with the cheapies.
–air filter. If it is nasty and covered with bugs, hookers, and crap, change it. Like $8 from Walmart. Increases MPG’s a bit when you have a clean one
–fuel filter. If they start getting clogged from bad gas, sugar, whatever, MPG starts going down. They are like a $5 part or so.
–oil change. 'Nuff said
–proper air pressure in tires.
If those dont make too much of a difference, then you migh have to check your distributor cap (dont know if you even have one these days), plug wires, and O2 sensor. The sensor makes a BIG difference in mileage, but it can be pricey depending on the car. I doubt that would be bad this soon in the car’s life, though. I changed all of those except the O2 sensor in my Corolla, and the MPG shot up from 29 MPG to the current 37 MPG:bgrin:.
when i checked yesterday, the low was 3.49 and high was 3.69. and i drive a honda so i feel bad for all those big truck/suv drivers =(
