The literal first post in this thread you’ve made is to complain about a spoiler for a game you’ve played already?
Bro, STFU.

No, no. He has a point.
Have you even seen the OG RE3? Remake might as well be brand-new.
In fact, the only spoilers are exactly how stuff will look now since we all know the plot.
I know we live off-topic, but you wouldn’t expect a RE3R spoiler outta nowhere here. It’s not unfair to ask people to put it on a spoiler tab.
Bullshit, those screens are from official previews.
That’s the same as say, a movie trailer.
No, it’s not on us to shield anyone from that. If you want isolation chamber levels of spoiler protection that is on you alone.
FF7 remake is pretty new. Other people recognized the character in that RE screen. All they did was do a new design for a monster that’s already in the game.
That’s like complaining about Bison’s alternate costume. Jesus fuck, it isn’t a plot point, its some shit that you know already happens.
We shouldn’t put ass pictures in spoiler tabs either because it’s not the first time we see an ass.
Been roughly a year since I started playing fighting games.
How my relationship with FGs has gone so far:
This talk of games being expensive really annoys me. As a game developer I think modern AAA games should be about twice the cost they are now. Lets looks back into the super nintendo era. The legend of zelda a link to the past was $70 us dollars when it came out. That was in 1991. SFV when released cost $60 us dollars on release more than 20 years later. Even without inflation it’s still lesst han you payed in 1991 (which it shouldn’t be). Now lets look at the cost of making those video games. Legened of zelda had a handful of programmers an artist or two, a scriptwriter, and probably some production and QA staff. SFV has a full team of developers, animators, modellers, concept artist, texture artist, producers, scripters, and about 10 times the size of the QA team. What do you think it cost to make that game?
Gamers need to either pay what it truly cost to make a game, or they’re going to have that cost in DLC that is pre-planned and written before the games release. Most AAA games aren’t profitable at a price point of $60 . That’s why you get the dlc.
So you decided to come to SRK in year 1??
Also on the whole spoiler thing:
The fuck?
Isn’t RE3 an old-ass game now?
I mean I never played it, to be sure, but can you really complain about spoilers about a game more mature than your mental age?
I don’t fully disagree, but the situation with old Nintendo cartridge games was not apples to apples.
Speaking of RE, Aris’ reactions

Spin, read my post on the subject.
Everyone knows what the plot is, come on. No surprises there.
This is why I don’t really have an issue with Shill Passes.
Unless they’re not revealing exactly what you’re buying.
The context also means a lot. This was back when Capcom re-released games to update them.
Buying a game, then expecting DLC and having to buy a whole new version in 3 months isn’t reasonable, that’s why I said it was understandable that people got pissed.
TBF, Neo SRK is a very different place than what it was on 2000.
Although, for what i have seen, i think he wouldnt have had problems fitting in on old SRK.
I’ll be honest bro:
If I’m questioning spending 60 bills on a game, I sure as fuck am not going to spend 120 on it.
Don’t think the problem is the consumer, its the special effects bandwagon nonsense that AAA titles get on. Mind you, AAA is a classification of how much money they’re throwing at the game to make it. so if I can get multiple hours of gameplay out of a 20 dollar game, what are you selling me with 60, 120 or 200?
The AAA model of games seems all sorts of borked.
Yipes streamed RE2? Oh damn, I gotta look that up later.
I’ll give you the cartridge cost is significantly higher to manufacture than a cd. Also they had printed manuals back then so that would have added up as well. Still doesn’t account for the massive development cost increase in the past 25 years.
Gamepass.
For real, it’s the best thing to happen this whole generation of consoles.
This is silly to me, RE isn’t, and never was scary.
Tense and stressful sure, but scary in that “twitch steamer shrieks” way, just no.
Aye, @KingTubb is a nice guy. He’d fit in anywhere.
Yeah I did. And it’d be fine if it wasn’t from promo material. It’s the same as people getting mad over Toei revealing Gogeta Blue in the trailer. If the makers of the game don’t think it’s a big deal, you make too much out of what’s nothing. There’s exceptions though…
I stll have PS+ games I haven’t touched, Steam games I haven’t touched etc. The initial hype of having steam got me spending a lot of money, but I’ve stopped all that shit already.
Most people buying games are essentially hoarding them or at least there’s a section of gamers who are doing this. Spending money to hoard some more games doesn’t seem productive.
Seeing as I’m trying to cut my expenses on things I won’t use a lot, games are eating a dick.
