I kinda like how the Xbox pad feels more then the PS4 one.
However, keep in mind i donāt actually play on these things, iām just talking about how they feel when you hold one. Mouse and keyboard all the way. Itās literally impossible for me to play shooters on gamepads.
As for fighting games i play on SFxT gamepad / hitbox / keyboard, depending on character.

This really depends on how large your hands are. With large hands your thumb is at a really awkward angle on the ps4 controller and will naturally rest on the xbox analog. With smaller hands the xbox analog is a longer reach and uncomfortable. For my hand size I would definitely use an xbox controller over a ps4 controller.
