The part with the wildfire was the best scene IMO. So brutally pretty.
The battle isn’t as epic as it was in the book, but that was to be expected, this shit costs hella money to produce. The next (and last) episode definitely needs to focus on Dany and the House of the Undying, there’s alot of shit to wrap up.
"but your grace, hundreds of men will die!’
‘thousands.’
the wildfire shit was great too. well done.
overall i knew it wasn’t going to be as epic as the book, but i’m a little miffed by some minor changes that seem pointless to me.
surprisingly my respect for lancel grew this ep. dude was trying to front with the swagger of a knight in previous eps, but in this one he actually has the courage to run into combat and fight
not only that, but he gets wounded. when he goes to cersei i was expecting him to start whining about it, but instead he doesn’t even mention it and continues talking about continuing the battle, etc.
but even when he’s being cool he still gets treated like a whipping boy by the lannisters
watched the first 1 or 2 ep I think but didn’t really like it. does it better? can I watch from season2 and wont miss out on much?? how is this compared to say…Spartacus?
Although Spartacus is fun to watch and is a great show, GoT is a story telling epic. Weeks hit it on the head, not much action but lots of characters and plots to keep you entertained.
No minus nose im affriad… a big f’in slash across his face and nose with what looks like a chunk out of it… Im not bothered about if it is down to an exact detail, just as long as its acted and portrayed well enough. Sticking to the source material doesnt have to be 100% it is a tv show with a limited budget…
I can’t believe some thought they were gonna cut his nose off when they are already paying a fuck ton of money to shoot in all these amazing places. Some people are being very unrealistic and forgetting about the budgets these shows have. It’s the same reason you didn’t see many Werewolves transform into werewolves in Trueblood: CGI IS FUCKING EXPENSIVE.
They would either have to CGI his nose fucked up or do some crazy ass make-up tricks that could make it harder to act for Peter Dinkage. Now the chain thing I understand but the nose thing? C’mon son…
Also this shows always is able to trick me into thinking certain characters are gonna die when I know they live. You never know when they are gonna pull a True Blood and go “Earth-2” on our asses
Loved the scene of Stannis getting out of the boat. Just hopped out and started to methodically walk towards the city before picking up speed. You could see in his eyes that he wanted to capture King’s Landing.
Edit: OST has been out for awhile apparently in case anyone was waiting for it. The title for the last track is a major spoiler.
