First and foremost, hats off to the actress playing Lyanna Mormont. It takes real exceptional talent to play such a precocious and bold figure and be taken seriously by both the grown men on the show and especially the audience. The casting agents certainly did their due diligence.
Although I wasn’t t particularly fond Maergery Tyrell, it was kind of sad such a smart lady had to die, even going out knowing something was up. The high sparrow ended up dying because of his own ego, which is exactly what a manipulative hypocrite deserved. Shame a bunch of “innocent” bystanders had to go out with him.
I suspected Arya was the cute barmaid, but I was unsure since I didn’t think wearing a dead woman’s face would also increase bust and butt size. lol
Sansa, please don’t turn into a power hungry bitch; I saw the look you gave your creepy “uncle” Littlefinger.
Speaking of ambition, Dany is now consumed by it. Having a man with skills existing behind her in the shadows, who truly loves her, is the best resource someone with her goals could have.
They’ve been setting the stage with his moral dilemmas involving a few characters, most notably Brienne of Tarth.
Cersei will likely meet her end next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if the cause will be by a dragon fire baptism.
Btw, in the show it was foretold by a seer that Cersei would have 3 children and lose them all, was this prophecy also in the books?
A younger, more beautiful queen will be Cersei’s undoing (Dany).
Cersei: When will I wed the prince?
Maggy: Never. You will wed the king.
Cersei: I will be queen, though?
Maggy: Aye. Queen you shall be… until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.
I’m wondering will the dorne and tyrells join forces with Dany to depose the queen? will Jaime go down with his sister or will he be the queen slayer?
Definitely lady mormont and olenna (Granny tyrell) came from the same bad ass mold.
Fun thought, Jaime was willing to forsake the vow that meant the most to him in life, and permanently ruin his reputation, to keep innocent people from dying in a wildfire catastrophe.
And he gets back to King’s Landing just in time to witness Cersei having done what?
can’t remember the books outright stating which of the lannister twins was older but def tyrion has all the reasons to wring her neck.
hype over this episode and all of the ramifications next season.
