But there’s no moon door in Winterfell…
Well Make Do!
Right, cut off his cock and feed it to the goats.
Even his niece out seduces him.
As they always say, the only thing that can cut a Meerenese knot is a Meerenese scissor.
Spoiler
Scissor me timbers.
Pretty sure Robert killed the prince with a warhammer shot to his chest.
Burst the big ruby he was wearing causing soldiers to dive in the river trying to gather the pieces.

Wasn’t Rhaegar like a seriously skilled fighter? Robert must have been a badass.
Yes to both things.
Bad match-up for Rhaegar though, Robert was an extreme powerhouse with a warhammer- that’s pretty much perfect for taking out armored opponents.
To put in into Primarch terms, Rhaegar was Fulgrim, Robert was Leman Russ. Shit was only gonna end one way.
yup, in their prime both were A+ tier. Robert was so badly wounded in the fight he couldn’t go after his love, so Ned and 4 others rode in his stead.
Barristan Selmy who was top 2 at the time also was gravely injured in that battle but spared because he was such a bad ass by Robert.
Man, somebody has a conditioned response to the word ‘warhammer’.
Haha well when I thought about it those dudes have really the same character types, and to an extent, even the same looks.

Selmey said he would have killed robert and all of his army if he’d been there when the kids of rhegar where presented to him and he’d had smiled.

“Rhaegar fought well, because it was in his nature to do everything well.” ~Barristan “The Bold” Selmy
Robert was a whole other level of Primal Alpha male, doe.
It’s why becoming king killed him.
Boars don’t play man, they kill folks all the time

And I guaran-fuckin-tee you guys that Robert in his Alpha Prime, would have gone full Beast-Mode on 'dat boar.
Boredom, booze, crazy bitch wife, containment, and no Lynna nookie, done did him in waaaaay before the boar.
In SF terms, the boar was the dizzy kill. Everything else was the set up into dizzy.
Robert had that lovers raged in him. In his eyes the prince kidnapped and raped his wife to be.
Homie would have killed the prince even if he had a hole in his head, I’m pretty sure Ned knew what was up with his sister though, I think she just left Robert.
Selmy loved that family. He saved the mad kings life single handed. Best believe if he was at the castle with the mad King he would have killed Jaime and his father. But I doubt he would have let the city burn.

She didn’t leave Robert.
She was never his, to begin with.
Rhaegar interpreted the prophesy wrong, and thought that he needed to make a second son to go with his daughter and other son.
Ellaria was kinda sickly, and he wanted that Third Head for the dragon, as were.
…though you’d like to think that he’d be more creative than to name BOTH of his sons Aegon…

Selmy was a fool, like that.
I kind of felt sorry for Jaime, given that situation.
Fuck his dad, but all those other innocent people should not have been ordered killed by Aerys.
Jaime did good, running that bastard through.
In the novels, at any rate.
In the T.V. show… who knows?
We gatdam Time-Brandits, up in 'dat universe.
Lyanna definitely was promised to Robert, if she went willingly or was kidnapped it up for debate. The prince from what we know of him doesn’t seem like the type to kidnap and rape, hell Ned even had a high opinion of him.

I’m not sure Lyanna Stark willingly running away with Rhaegar with her younger brother’s help counts as being “kidnapped and raped”.
What evidence is there that her younger brother helped her run away? I don’t have the histories in front of me and I could be overlooking something but I don’t remember anything in print saying as such.
Like I said I don’t think she was kidnapped either, But that is literally what Robert used as a rallying cry in the river lands. Well that and all the northern lords were easily convinced when Neds father and brother were put to death in kings landing.

There is none.
But there is a strong inference to be drawn from their flashback dialogue, that Ned knew that she wasn’t at all keen on Robert.
He definitely went to the Tower of Joy to get her back after Robert hammer-timed Rhaegar, though.
