Edited to kinda address both quotes. I get that Littlefinger loved Sansa’s mom, and probably wants to get up in Sansa, too. But he did some fucked up shit by sending her to Ramsay, and seems to always have his own best interests before anyone else’s. Including having a hand in getting Ned killed.
I believe GRR Martin has confirmed that Littlefinger actually did not know about Ramsey’s sadistic nature.
There’s a part in season 5 where Littlefinger meets Ramsey for the first time and says something to the effect of “it’s a rare thing for me to meet a lord who I know so little about.”
I guess we’re supposed to forget about the traitors in Dorne? Because since the beginning of the season they’ve been pretty absent.
They might be addressed next season… im taking the last season will be the white walkers invading and next season dorne/little finger/sansa/jon drama along with cersei’s plan and varys’ mission… oh and arya’s home coming.
That’s a fair point. But, still, that guy is compelled by his own greed and manipulation of others above all else. He had no problem pretty much orchestrating the entire war.
Depends on how far he wants power. He cant have caitlyn but he can have sansa. Despite all his scheming he does love caitlyn and in extension sansa… he would manipulate her but never hurt her.

I’m rewatching season 5 and I hate the Sand Snakes and their mother even more. They are so blinded by vengeance they’re willing to have their country burned to the ground all because Oberyn died in a LEGAL trial by combat. I doubt anyone is going to trump this level of petty in the story.
The worst thing is that it actually makes me glad the other 2 Martells got left out of the shitshow that’s TV Dorne.

They’ve wanted to break free from the crown since the dealth of their princess and the mad King. I don’t mind Dorne in the books, the show makes their dissent look petty though.

It’s honestly one of the more frustrating aspects of season 5 and the beginning of season 6. Yes, lets start a war where thousands (millions?) will die because of goddamn pride. Prince Doran was a smart motherfucker, but he should have just had all the snakes killed when they tried to betray him the first time.
As for the sand bitches, everyone always loves war until the consequences of war start to pile up.

And before you say that children got betrothed all the time in such societies, remember that the reason Oberyn and Ellaria went out into the broader Seven Kingdoms, was to wind up at Casterly Rock, to get introduced to and to get to know Cersei and Jaime.
There would have been zero purpose for them to meet, if Cersei and Jaime were still little kids.
