too bad theres too many one trick ponies that only play one game and will probably not move o =/

This is a great idea, I’m all for supporting it.
As NeREMIXED mentioned, we tried doing this in San Diego. It went well, but over time, ppl stopped supporting it.
The number one problem we ran into was that fighting gamers are cheap sons of bitches. The ones that actually care about the community (you know who you were) showed up and tried to make things happen. Everyone else would rather just stay at home or thought pricing was too expensive (even though our gaming nights were $5 from 5PM til. Midnight).
We had excellent competition for several games, the gamers here didnt take advantage of it. I’m sure the scene is in better hands in LA, so I really hope it takes off, I’ll be visiting for sure when it goes down.

My intentions is not to discredit PS2/DC dedicated gamers at all or try to compare which versions of Street Fighter are better.
You have a choice in what titles you want to play and on whichever consoles you desire.
The future of gaming, as far as fighters are concerned, is moving to next gen. We are in the midst of converting once again to a different standard in gaming which was very controversial during the arcade to console era back in 2000.
I’m confident the fighting game community is very capable of adapting to new standards as long as the love for the game is not lost.

here’s a thought: since the lan center is xbox/pc only, could they have the original xbox’s on hand (for games such as street fighter anniversary edition)? it would be alot easier to buy a ps2 --> xbox converter than to have to buy a xbox 360 stick.
Again there’s no plan to include any different hardware than whats already there.
Each console station at Howies has an xbox360 in glass casing. Remember we’re trying to move forward by playing on new hardware.
can anyone else think of other titles for the 360?

I’ll be testing the hardware this coming week with Afrolegends.
The most important one will be any lag issues with their LCD’s.
