like i said, without red bars, the game is playable. it’s not the lag, it’s just you.

I hate how people always moan about the netcoding. I get pretty much lagles matches almost every fight. Now and then I get a laggy fight but that’s just because I’m playing someone who’s either really far away or has a bad connection. Just because you get laggy fights doesn’t mean the netcoding’s bad, your connection or your opponents connection probably just sucks.
Every game is real laggy at times. Try getting through a day of Halo or Gears without a laggy match all day. It doesn’t happen because online games often lag; not because of the netcoding but because people’s internet connections are laggy.
I thought that they’ve already announced a patch is coming, but knowing how they lied about the netcode before the release, I bet it’s just another lie to keep the sales going for the time being.
They probably didn’t lie about the netcode.
A test between a few players won’t get the same results between a test between all players (which includes the dumbest customers of internet service).

I only go online now to download Ghosts. The fighting is horrible.
The point is that if people can get a good online match in other fighting games on the same connection, then there isn’t any excuse for a multi-million dollar release like Tekken 6 to have massive input lag. I get 15mbps down, and 4.5 to 6.8 up at all times on a direct connection and I can’t get a decent game online living in a town that plays the shit out of this game. I’m happy for you if live in a place as small as England and have, basically, an intranet that you and your friends can game on. That’s great for you but, the point is that Namco has tons of fans that buy millions of copies of this game in North and South America who got left out in the cold on online play because they didn’t take the time to make a netcode that could work for places who’s infrastructure is not designed like Japan’s. It’s not like it would do anything to change the experience for those who live in places that do, so I don’t understand why they don’t take a few weeks of their programmers time to fix it. They had an opportunity to create a new market for this game, and genre as a whole, in the Americas with this release, but I guess they decided they don’t like money anymore.
