Itās true. I was playing against a Marauder on the last level, while fighting I think a Revenant and more fodder than usual while hopping around blasting everything while countering the Marauder in between, so much it almost felt like I was fighting a normal enemy. I felt fucking awesome when I killed everyone.

No, not that, the time in between the weapon swaps is like insanely fast. Like a fraction of a second. Iāll try to find a clip.

Thereās a rune or a suit mod that speeds up weapon swaps. Thats probably pc as well.
You can get close to that with the rune and pre switching from SSG to Ballista and tapping R1 for the quick switch after you stagger him

Yeah, the last level is the best part of the game imo. Which is awesome. It keeps me wanting to start another run-through.

Battle Arena is gonna be a joke once people really get a handle on the Slayer. No ones gonna wanna play unless they can be DOOM Guy cuz heās gonna easily wreck everyone else lol.

I agree. I never played it online (got it late in the life span) but played against bots a few times, and something about it felt really off. I donāt know what it was though.
Probably because the game is designed around people bum rushing you and getting in your face, no running around Shotgun jumping and shit.

If the multiplayer in 2016 was more like an oldschool arena shooter it probably would have been pretty good. I hated the weapon loadouts. Nothing about it felt right.
I really, really need to play Quake Champions. Itās The Last of The Mohicans of this type of game really, outside of the Unreal Tournament Beta(which stopped development I think after the success of Fortnite.)
The rune is PC exclusive? Dafuq, hahaha. I got it early on.
Can you not hotkey some weapons to the D-pad? If not I must be thinking about a different game or something.
Iām going to get the game on PS4 in the future when itās cheap, but if I have to bring up the weapon wheel everytime to swap weapons that will suck.
That runes on Console. No you canāt set any weapons to the D-Pad. In fact up and down go unused. Left is to change granade types and right is the Crucible Sword.
If you tap the change weapon button, you will swap to your last used weapon (and you hold it down to bringing up the wheel).
So before heading into an arena you can select two weapons to swap between. If you need a third though, then yeah, you need to rely on the wheel, but if you keep an eye on your ammo, and choose your two weapons wisely, youāre usually okay with just two. There are definitely times when you need a third, especially in the second half.
You can probably do that weapon swap trick between the two weapons though, Iām probably just not swapping quick enough.
Another issue with controllers, is youāre restricted to how many buttons you can press while keeping both thumbs on the sticks.

I get what you mean,but imo 2016 still does some things better.The game is still good.
What i enjoy the most about Eternal is the level design,itās truly a huge improvement. In 2016 you feel like you are in a huge factory most of the time,and granted you pretty much are while in Eternal almost every level feels different.
I still enjoy the super shotgun from 2016 more than Eternal though, the double shot feels beefy and heavy as the weapon should feel. Both great games.
Shameless confession, the super shotgun from Resurrection of Evil is my favorite.

Honestly, Iām debating getting one of those back button attachments for a DS4. Iād really like to be able to aim as I dodge or Flame Belch. Itās only like $30 tooā¦
Seems kinda stupid to buy for one game on a console soon to be replaced, but having to take a thumb off the sticks has been a minor issue Iāve had on any FPS I play on consoles (a secondary issue to the difficulty I have aiming though).
I truly love FPSs, definitely my favourite genre outside of fighting games (if not tied) but I havenāt played them much lately because my PC isnāt up to scuff and I donāt need a strong PC outside of the odd game to play on it. Plus I prefer console these days anyways.
Edit: nevermind about back button attachment thing. I remapped Dash to L3 and it felt much better.
