If it was anybody else i’d probably think the same but the guy knows how to get a team to pull off a result, i honestly think england will win, everybodys like " oh noes ZE germanz" look at our recent results versus them, they’ve been good, this german side is young and to be honest not that great, there nothing like the side of 15 years ago where they had talent and unbeliveable mental strength.

I need a drink after this match. lol. Ghana played a physical game and was smart with their possessions. USA, however, was just putting hope into each kick after the penalty kick by Donovan. There were a few times the US could have capitalized, but there just weren’t enough white jerseys around. Kudos to the Ghanaains, but chill the eff out on your acting. I also don’t understand why Findley was taken out instead of Altidore. Jozy looked slow and tired. Findley was quick and I think with a little better positioning could have been a better choice than Altidore. Feilhaber shined in the second half, but wasn’t nearly as effective in the extra time. We just ended up grasping at straws after that second Ghana goal. I really think that took the Americans heads out of the game and sent them into panic mode where every long kick was made in desperation rather than having a strategic intent behind it. Good show USA. There’s more international play to be had in the coming years leading to 2014. It’s just a shame the men’s team can’t play like the women’s team.
Well fuck me side ways…the loss depressed the shit out of me for the rest of the day. At least my OTHER team, Brazil, is guaranteed to go places. I was however, cheering for USA to take it as far as they could, but I guess all that celebration just cause we qualified was a little early.

I will say this though, if Altidore makes that score after being dragged down and flailing his foot, he would of easily redeemed himself from this otherwise piss poor tournament showing.

And get out of concacaf, it’s fucking auto qualification in that federation put yourself in that south american group, sure you might miss a few world cups but again it would actually mean something if you did qualifie, not beating up on teams like trinidad and whoever the fuck else.
What’s strange rules? MLS plays by the same rules everyone else does. The only difference is they divide the teams into two conferences and have playoffs to determine a champion. Teams still play all other teams twice in the season, just like European leagues.
I seriously doubt FIFA is going to let us leave CONCACAF for COMNEBOL considering the US is right smack in the middle of North America. Yeah, they let Australia jump from OFC to AFC, but how are they gonna decide that the US is a South American country?
They could just do away with the whole continental zone thing, and group countries based on rankings, but there’s no way UEFA would let that happen if it means changing or abandoning the Champions League.
The majority of US players have absolutely shit ball control and technique. I’ve seen so many runs fall short because a touch goes too far or a pass that’s too short. Altidore is culpable of it, especially when he has the ball in a decent area and he tries to dribble out but he then loses the ball.
The width on the team is minimal at best, with Dempsey and Donovan not true wingers. I don’t understand why Beasly isn’t played more often, he’s fast and can put in a cross. I can see Findley getting decent, he’s quick and can beat defenders, he just needs to work on his finishing and getting a decent strike partner.
No relgation no promotion, where’s the pressure? also the draft sytem which i dont know about 100% but to me it just looks like you can be crap and get the pick of the best young players, no actual comp outside the mls no europa leaugue type thing or champions leaugue.

Letting you guys join the south america group was an out there idea i admit that, but fuck who really needs concaaf anyway? just thrown them all together and grant south american and extra couple of slots, it’s not going to happen and maybe if i was the usa i wouldn’t change it, im mean your guranteed world cup football every 4 years, but sometimes you have to look at yourself and think is it really worth it if we remain in this vicious circle?
There’s no other league tied to MLS to relegate to, and MLS isn’t big enough to split them into an upper and lower division. That’s just not possible in its current state.
Nothing, and I wasn’t even talking about world cup qualification.
Imagine if FIFA did it by rankings, putting countries like Brazil, England, Portugal, or heck, mix and match South American and European countries together into one “zone”. It wouldn’t be UEFA, and I wouldn’t bet on UEFA letting FIFA do something like that if their prized tournament were affected greatly by it.

What was with all this nonsense about America being proud? I mean, I love America probably more than most people I know, but the USA was pretty poor like usual in this. They never outright won a game, they got lucky vs England, and they never held a lead and I always had to play from behind. They seemed weak on defense and kind of lacking in the offense at times.
And fuck Ghana for again, falling down every other minute win they have a lead. Ghana is such a shitty country.
disappointing loss. US had to many chances but failed to convert. i wonder what the stats on that are. it seems like in all the games US has had more quality looks at the goal then their opponents but have had a much lower success rate.
I’ll be cheering for mexico tomorrow but it’s gonna be a tough fight for them.
