Maybe, but i highly doubt it. Thats diving in super deep pretty quickly. At the very least when it comes to big wtf boss characters, you gotta go through zoom with his time altering speed, and inertia before you jump to black flash, from a tv show perspective. Black flash is some season 5 or later type shit.

We still gotta see wally west, and his story. Jay, max mercury, bart allen, jesse quick, the rogues final team. There is still so much to introduce and build around before getting to black flash.

we’re already super deep into flash with zoom and reverse being the main baddies. like all the other rogues should be maining imo and leave the super big baddies for season 3 or 4.

Nah, the reverse flash was the overall big baddy of season 1, but flash spent most of his time dealing with the rogues, metahumans, getting faster, and one instant with grodd. With that said, reverse flashes are a pretty normal staple in flash arcs, coupled with the rogues and fucking up/trying to fix the timeline.

Reverse flash doesnt really introduce anything ground breaking thats too much to consume, and when done the way it was in season 1, lays the foundation to spend a few episodes of back story on eobard thawnes motivation for hating barry, technology, and wanting to kill him.

Black flash pretty much only comes around when a speedster is going to die. Thats not the case here, and judging from the fact that his name is zoom, and with the introduction of jay garrick, there appears to be clear influence of the new zoom by The rival, who wore a dark costume, its likely not black flash.

Maybe someone will see black flash by the end of this season, then it wont be talked about for a couple more seasons, but black flash as a plot line in season 2 would be a bit much. Especially when theyre introducing wally and garrick this season, along with zoom, and a possibility of the rogues being fully formed, which means Top will be in there, who is an excellent reoccurring villain for barry.

Also linda park is back for most of the season, so stuff is going to build around her.

There is more than enough here to work with for 2 more seasons easy, before we introduce black flash.

Watch him be something simple like barrys and iris future son who comes back to see them, because in his timeline, they die. They purposely casted a biracial looking black kid for a reason. OR they will do the new 52 route and he is the future nephew of iris, joe had an illegitimate kid, and wally is the son of a black and white couple. Who that white person is will be of vast interest though.

i also get the sense we arent gonna fuck with timetravel this season. time travel+dimension hopping i think thats alot for one season. i mean no one is even acknowledging that their technically is the og barry allen somewhere existing in the timeline. but thats just too much imo. its most likely gonna be alternate dimension wally. well wally is iris’s nephew in the og series…hes not related to barry. so that part is totally still possible without any real fuckery.

I think OG barry is either back in the future, or something. Time Travel shenanigans are always a bitch to deal with, but I feel like OG Flash was able to get back to his future. He only came back to attempt to stop Reverse Flash. But I do agree that we probably won’t deal with time travel again, this season at least.

We will, but probably not to that same extent, where barry has to deal with him altering time again. Dealing with 3 shows now all in the same universe, arrow, flash, and legends of tomorrow, i bet they try to keep timeline altering time travel at a minimum, but not doing some modified version of flashpoint at some time would be a bit of a waste.
