Well youre comparing him to barry more, and im not. Zoom has not shown any evidence that he would get curb stomped by eobard, and neither has eobard done anything so outlandish that i think he would crush zoom.
Zoom was traversing the multiverse while eobard thawne was building a time chair to finally go home. Barry got bopped by zoom equally as bad as when thawne did it to him. Zoom is pretty knowledgeable of the speed force, since he traverses universes quite often.
I think potentially thawne can be faster because of his tech, but the match still seems relatively even to me.
You guys are both using Barry as a ruler when both Zoom and Reverse Flash were faster than him. The only time Barry was faster than Zoom was when he used that enhanced tacheon thing. But he didnât have it anymore, plus Zoom got a power up by taking away Barryâs speed.
Even with the power up Zoom was scared of Barry. He never directly confronted him after taking his powers until the finale. He sent his best goons to kill Barry. Power up is nothing if heâs too shaken to make use of it.
This will be one of those arguements were there wont be a winner. Taking barry out of the equation, both zoom and reverse flash have pros amd cons over each other. I would say zoom> r.flash, but post reveal zoom was showing alot of weakness. Being scared of barry, and just looking weaker even after the power up. I mentioned that before. Reverse flash never showed any weaknesses like that, he was more level headed and he calculated his approaches more, which is why i go with him over Zoom.
It did bother me how reverse flash couldnt time travel lol. Seemed like he was powered up towards the end where he could do it.
R.Flash would fuck Zoom. Hell both R.Flash and Zoom are better than Barry they just lost out to a totally shenanigans CW script, âhey bro I wanna kill you but I wanna screw around for 8 episodes until you figure out my every weakness, made a huge point about my mental illnesses and generally concoct a plan that will horrible backfireâ.
R.Flash in kill mode would ace Zoom/Barry, the later two are basically the same shit minus magical journey to the trolling speed force.

Midway through the season Barry already beat Zoom, stupidity on the good guysâ side just reigned, simple as that.
In Season 1 Barry never got CLOSE to Reverse Flash, it took Eddie self-sacrificing to win.
However it doesnât prove Reverse Flashâs superiority just because Barry was also much weaker that season.
All we really have to gauge the two is the fact that Zoom himself said that he wasnât fast enough to do a trick that we know for certain Reverse Flash COULD do.
So the Flash Johns and other writers have a throbbing boner for, Barry Allen, makes irresponsible, selfish decisions and screws up the timeline how often?
He doesnât usually this much mainly cause most of this stuff is wallys storylines being reused for Barry. Wally usually unintentially gets into some time travel bullshit. He doesnât try to go back and fix it all with time travel cause he understands thatâs stupid.
Barryâs literally destined to time travel since the original story was he was gonna live with iris in the 24th century and has the twins. Before going off and helping with crisis.
Yeah, there cant really be an objective winner here imo. Zoom and R flash both fucked up barry, and both have had silly temporary losses to barry on some magical cw writing nonsense. I mean, even that velocity 9 speedster, i forgot her name. She demolished barry until he magically was able to speed up and make that jump.
But like i said, i think r flash had the most potential to be the most dangerous of them all due to his tech, and speedforce knowledge, but then he couldnt fucking time travel, meanwhile zoom was literally hopping universes. lol. Zoom also took a speed dampener shot to the neck, and a metahuman clamp to his leg, and shook both of them off like nothing. lol
i feel like the writers switched shit up. i feel like that was meant to be jay garrick. Also since reverse flash is from the future that barry is fromâŚwe can also assume he might of thought jay was gonna pop up from his earth. since now the history books will have jay being involved his barrys life. i personally dont think reverse thought that was zoom.
Watching repeat episodes makes me miss Patty even more. I know Barry and Iris are THE couple for Flash lore but West-Allen can suck it.
DC is reprinting older Flash stories. Grant Morrison and Mark Millarâs run on Flash is in TPB form which, if Iâm reading right, introduced the Black Flash. Thereâs also a single issue devoted to Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick. It looked like a fun read so I picked it up. It seemed to be one of the few Flash TPBs around that centers on Wally West era Flash.
That is until I saw book one of Geoff Johns Flash run show up in my Barns & Nobles today, so I snagged that one. Flash Rebirth was there as well and I felt stupid because I just bought that sucker on Amazon.
What Iâd love for DC to reprint is The Return of Barry Allen. That sucker goes for $40 and up on Amazon. The Death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns get reprinted until the stars turn cold but with the Flash being super hot right now, youâd think DC would star reprinting stuff like the Return of Barry Allen. Well, I caved and Iâm waiting for that baby to land on my door step. SMH.
