Well the buttons are straight lines across to start.
I’m digging the crafting system this time around compare to FFXI; its more streamlined. My PGL is only lvl 13 but my Miner and GS is already lvl 15

Beta, you try turning off shadows and all that junk when doing fates? I found turning it to bare minimum helped me from not seeing mobs from afar.

Ok I got Coth Ex and To Moc on Ultros, gotta start from scratch with both, but at least I should be able to transfer both once we figure out what srk server is gonna be.
I can’t get back into Shiva right now, nor can I get into ultros right now :sad:
Getting to 50 was easier than I thought.
I normally avoided Fates. Then I was like “fuck it, time to run a Fate”
Next thing I know, I’m level 50 
I’ve only been hitting fates when I’m nearby, mainly been grinding quests and just having fun taking my time.
lvl11 gld, but I got pug self heal, back on leveling gld.
Now I gotta figure out if I should keep playing on shiva, or try to play the new character on ultros, but idk if the lag on ultros will really be better at all.
I can’t figure out this code mess for anything.
GF got the standard copy for PS3 last night. Now, of course, we need to redeem the code to play.
All I have is the 12 digit code on the back of the manual (Registration Code), and a small red pamphlet with an 18 digit code (Product Registration card, same that comes with every SE release).
Using the 12 digit code in the PSN store prompts me to download the entire client over (when the latest OB client is still installed), and signed in to my SE account, I can’t find anything. This shit is crazy.
EDIT: Fuck this game. And Square-Enix.
After you download the game, using the code given on the back of the ps3 ffxiv manual, you will be then able to enter your SE account and PW. After entering said info, you will then be prompted to a license and agreement screen; after hitting accept terms and conditions, it will prompt you to another screen that asks which account you want to register with this playstation device. ffxiv arr 1 or ffxiv arr 2 (if you have pc and ps3 accounts)
Now after entering those info, it will go back to the log in screen, log in once more, and a Download of 2496.38 MB will begin, this is to connect your PS3 with the new launcher/server or whatever.
So, basically you have to download the NEW PS3 launcher (approx 1-3hrs) then log in with a registered SE account and then shortly after you will have to spend another (45-1hr) to download something else.
It worked just fine for me, so i would suggest deleting the old program and re downloading the new one if you can’t get in.

I think I got it though, not sure. I just put the code from the back of the manual in PSN, skipped the download and magically it works even though the first time I tried the same process, nothing worked. I didn’t even use the code from the red card but now in Mog Station it says I’m active with the 30 days so I’m assuming it works. I just launched the game from the PS3 disc and had to validate my services and whatnot and I believe it’s working. World is full so until I actually get in, I won’t know for sure. I appreciate the help, man.
I just go with the arcade stick turbo ethic and do something productive for an hour or so.
What I personally hate the most is the loading screen that stays for at least 45 seconds, almost ensuring play time and then BAM, world is full. I just leave my TV off while it’s logging in because I’m emotionally drained from being ecstatic to have my mood plummet over that.

I plugged in my xbox controller lol and just kept hitting A until i connected lol
I had DC’d earlier while trying to make my game full screen. My BF was able to get in a little before I did and this was around 1:30pm EST. Had to press 0 like it was my bitch. Eventually got in and just did Borderless Window mode so I can alt+tab without my game crashing.
Yay for 4 day weekend, even th-… Are you fuckin’ kidding me?

As I was telling y’all niggas not to log out during the log in maintenance, my game freezes.
It fucking. Freezes.
Never froze before, until right this fucking moment.
So I now have to hard reset, which, of course, means that I’m not going to be able to log in and continue playing.
