From what I’ve heard, the DLC is going to be stories of what is happening during FFXIII-2, and will not offer any extra closure if that’s what you’re looking for.

I don’t know about you guys, but I really liked the ending. I thought it was appropriate, and it leads into a sequel. I know a bunch of people don’t like the FFXIII-2 universe, but I’m definitely a fan of it.
i dug the ending too, having not finished beating vile peaks and a few other areas revisiting, they weren’t foreshadowing they were straight telling you.
[details=Spoiler] lightning isn’t lost, shes crystal, probably trying to become etro. the world becoming valhalla doesn’t quite mean everyone died. everyone is “between life and death and are in no specific area of time”, the snow we met was a snow from a time when he needed a l’cie brand because he wasn’t strong enough which is fascinating because most falcie aside from phoenix and the moon one are not longer working, sazh is fascinating, i doubt they are gonna use dlc to finish off the story. it was certainly an interesting ending.

if they really do make xiii-3 i refuse to believe that xiii versus exists btw.
i thought i’d hate the monsters but i loved it ( i love the colored chocobos) mog was cool, chocolina was funny, the music was good, the battles were often fun. The biggest gripes i have atm are nickel and dime dlc (card games are dlc? what the fuck?), some dlc being costumes (making us beat bosses for them would have been better), and fucking academia 400 af. i’ve never fought so many battles in a row before. jesus christ. that was the one area of the game that wasn’t thought out very well.
also i was so happy to have finally gotten to fight that giant falcie albeit recolored and called atlus. i always wanted to beat on him.
Just got XIII-2 yesterday. It’s the first FF I’ve picked up since 8. So far, I’m okay with it. ATB is cool for those who want a little more action in their roles, but FFS. That damn beach music before you find the gate to hit the bresha ruins was KILLING ME!!! Is that bitch gonna sing throughout the whole game? God do I ever miss Utada Hikaru now. :sad:

FFXIII versus isn’t even in the same universe as FFXIII. Which is stupid. It’s the same lore, but an alternate reality. Same thing for the PSP game.
From what I’ve read, the card games are not being “Nickel and Dime” dlc. They come with the first dlc story (Sazh) for free.
oh i know XIII versus is a separate take on a somewhat similar universe (they both have the goddess etro etc) but i mean the fact that versus has been in development for more than half decade now. and FFXIII has a sequel.
