Did the Raspatil fight last night. Wasn’t very hard. Just tedious and long.
yeah it’s one of the “perks” of unemployment. Stupid QA contracts lol. Hopefully I get some good news in the next few days and I won’t have as much free time (which sucks, but I gotta make money lol). as for your question:
Spoiler
I would definitely invest some time into Chichu. Feed it nothing but, “power ____” so its attack get high. A decently leveled Chichu will be good for a while. I still haven’t maxed mine out (I need to farm Power Crystals because I cannot buy them anywhere) and he works wonders for me. there is info on an amazing build for him, and what monsters you should infuse him with to make is a god.
I haven’t had much time to play, but something’s been bugging me; is it possible to miss anything in this game, or can you always backtrack to get something?
I do not think there is anything you can miss, though there are some monsters that you only get once so if you infuse them into others then they’re gone for good.
Another question as far as not missing anything goes:
[spoiler=] Can you go back to the part where Serah wakes up from her dream in New Bodhum and you have to choose whether or not to stay with Lightning? I was at that part and just skipped straight to the space distortion cuz I wanted to save and go get some grub. As I entered the space thing, I noticed a treasure floating in the background. I hope I’m able to go back and get it.
So I left my game on for a few hours with L1 rubberbanded down hoping to get lucky and win at the slots. I didn’t. so I’m just going to race a lot until I get what I need. lol
EDIT: Oh shit. I thought the “Lucky Coin” Fragment was tied to the trophy. Turns out it isn’t and I earned the fragment. So just 1 more to go, and that’s the bestiary.
Up to level 99.

Yes. By now you should have gotten stuff that allows you to do “Time Reversal” by pressing R1 while highlighting a certain time. As long as you have the appropriate one for that time, then you can do a time reversal and start it as if you’ve never been in that time before (you’ll see cut-scenes, get the live triggers, fight bosses, etc.). This is how you will get some of the paradox endings
So whats everyone’s take on this game at this point? Is SE going in the right direction in terms of going back to there roots somewhat? OR is it the usual BS that everyone complains about?
On the Real fam i think SE realized their mistakes. 13-2 feels more like old school FF. Im having a blast doing side shit and collecting monsters trying to hook up insane beasts just for the fun of it.
I know peeps complain about the story but it’s Final Fantasy. Only like 4 of them had a solid story. FF2/4, FF3/6, FF7, and FFT.
Other than that it was okay thats the bad guy but you fought some other entity after that guy who had nothing to do with that guy.
I like talking running around the locations talking to people and doing their missions. It takes me back to the hunts in ff12 which the cast didnt have any personality(except baltheir) but the amount of time that you could spend just exploring was great.
I expect FF since it went mainstream after 7 to take risks. Would I like to see a 4-5 party team again yea but okay 3 party no doubt. Would I like a air ship again yes but i understand the warping system.
But in 13-2 the old school roots are there, I haven’t beat the game but Im sure Caius is fronting. Imma whoop him later then he gonna say some slick shit then some “other” enitity will show up. No spoiler Im just guessing…
Overall I think 13-2 is a step in the right direction. FF13 I enjoyed playing but it was my first FF that i didnt need or fiend to play. I played it like a normal game.
13-2 shit Last night i started playing at 9pm didnt put it down till 4am just trying to capture monsters and shit lol. But i had fun. I haven’t had that type of FF fun since FFX.
So here’s hoping that w/Versus square will get shit back on track. Just give us main characters and a main villian w/a real motive and I think we are good to go.
So how often do you guys level up your monsters? I only maxed out my Pulsework Knight at level 20 for now for that gdlk unbreakable 2000+ HP Sentinel tank early on in the game but everybody else is level 1, due to my fear of spending monster drops on a monster, and then here comes an even stronger monster to replace them.
Well just made it to Ch. 6 XP
I’m over 25 hours into the game since I spent some time grinding, etc. Gonna go do some Chocobo racing before I finish the final chapter.
As far as monsters go…I level up whenever I have the Items to lvl. them up; I primarly focus on Chichu ATM by giving him Power or Potent type items.
FF7 is a classic, and it did a ton of things right, but story was not one of them. FF7 has one of the worst stories in the franchise. That’s including FF1…which doesn’t even have a story.
