The dive kick can punich so much stuff and is very safe. He has a super spammable SDM, which can easily be worked easily into combos. Big damage normal combos, and some high priority normals iirc. Im pretty sure there is discussion of Kim back there somewhere… Also, watch some of his matches

I wanna know just WTF was going on there with most of those. Grabbing from anywhere? How the hell do you trigger something that insane?
Some of the dual-line stuff I saw I’d noticed myself when messing with the stage value in RAM. Something about trying to make it use a non-hazardous stage while a hazardous one’s loaded already makes those weird effects when knocked into the other line.
Also, what’s this about some kind of debug mode hidden in the XBLA FFS port? Information on that would be appreciated. Would love to be able to unlock ‘the 16th fighter’ on a friend’s console next time we have a gathering.
Hi, FFS people. Could someone give me pointers with Big Bear in this game? (Yes, I know he sucks, bottom tier, etc.) We’re having a Fatal Fury blast playing the game with my friends, but this big guy gets stomped in my hands.
I’d appreciate any help, but also have specific questions:
Is there any command grab input trick? I can perform it 50%, but my Bear often jumps in the air flapping his hands. Maybe there’re some buffer or wiff cancel exploit to stay on the ground?
What are his plus frame moves? Useful for tickthrowing and preassure, of course. I’m gonna test this in the evening but maybe somebody can save me the effort.
Lp shoulder at max range or outside of CLOSE range command throw, all his ticks are so slow, you could whiff a standing close lp and command throw but it’s SO SO SO SO slow, unless your opponant is prone to massive brain farts he’ll punish you after the first couple of times you land it
lp Shoulder charge is ok because it’s a way to get close quite safely, i can remember i think slides ruin it so you gotta be careful, i think drop kick blocked command throw also works, dont quote me on that, i’ve not played for a while
Outside a handful of situations your better off ignoring bears command grab and using his many normal grab. 9d choke hold even does more damage and possible set up out of it. You’ll want to use command grab like some type of reversal for people or underestimate its range or gap in pressure strings. But bears regular throw are more consistent and at times mostly better. Though it is possible to combo the command from up close lp so its not useless.
Not sure if you’re confusing Jab FIghter 4 with Street Fighter, but SF is not like that. At all. The only way out of tick-throws is a reversal. Reversal throw, reversal invulnerable special, or reversal instantly-airborne special. Or super, in case of ST, Alpha and EX.
