Just watched this, didn’t think this episode was that good, except for the scene with Ari at Barabra’s lunch in. Next week’s episode looks nuts though. They’re not REALLY gonna end this season with things on a downswing again, are they?

What are you guys talking about? This is the best thing that could have happened to him. We’ve seen Vince shed"hollywood innocence" and realize that if he wants to make it, he’s going to have to let go of some of his petty gripes, and selfish needs and start working hard. This bullshit with the movie is just part of the process. He had the good fortune to not only land a role in a movie when all he was getting was television scripts, but he has a director who’s willing to help him grow up as an actor.
The head lean, the quivering lip, all those were just signs of an amateurish/boyish actor. The director was basically telling him to grow the fuck up as nicely as possible. Notice at the end how Vince wasn’t depressed and moping about everything, but actually working with that can on his head? Vince knows he’s caught a lucky break, but this time he’s working as hard as possible to capitalize on it instead of letting it slip away like he has in the past.
ARI FUCKIN’ GOLD.
Another great episode, can’t wait for the final.

This episode tonight was INCREDIBLE. Wow. It was like a darker version of that episode in Season 2 when Mandy dumps Vince and Ari gets kicked out of the agency. One of those “all hope is lost” episodes. I really don’t know what’s going to happen in the finale. Could this show really end on a downturn for the 2nd straight season? And if you’ve seen this episode…Could Turtle somehow save them?

I’m kinda shocked they’re going this route. I really am. I’ve complained how the show was basically following a formula, and they broke that mold.
That is similar to how I felt. I always thought it was a good show, a fun show, something I looked forward to kill twenty some odd minutes with. Lately, especially with the last couple episodes, it has jumped to more of a soap opera, can’t wait to see the next episode, how long is the wait until next time, type of show, in a good way.
I can’t say that I dislike it.
great ep. no question one of the best this season. whenever dana gordon gets that much screen-time, you know its gonna be a good one.
