How did this thread go to shit so quickly? I personally Just started the thread as a form of discussion on how our character may not be in anything new and hopefully to wind down the game with each other (not to sound like a sap or anything). Community is very important to me when it comes to us Juri’s and I just thought this would be a good thread to stick together.
We got trolling, banning, and sillyness. Keep it together guys. If you dont play juri then stay out or contribute…dont derail though.
I dont quite understand. Are you saying I’m NOT allowed to discuss things on the forum (whatever the topic may be) without being afraid of random idiots showing up and derailing the conversation? Is this the quality of user/mod’s on this forum? Well…no…The users/mods on this forum aren’t all morons so I expect the users to contribute and the mods to ban/repremand the users that detract from the use of the forum.
Her playstyle for MvC3 would have to be changed quite a bit. One of the users made a move list, but holding fireballs would have to be changed drastically. I reserve hope for her in MvC3 (DLC), whatever it is.
It’s a character section of the forums. Ever friggin thread doesn’t need to be combos, match ups and videos. It isn’t like these forums are so active that casual threads like these get in the way of fighter theory. Maybe a Sagat player wants to make a thread about his storyline… Who cares? Let him. It’s occasionally nice to read about the actual game.
Kail was curious to know others speculative thoughts on Juri’s future. What is the big deal?
I suppose, you guys should be thankful she is not on R. Mika status yet. Now that’s one long suffering fanbase. Or an Ingrid one (like me :sad:); she really needs to be in a newer better game.
I still think Juri has a chance to make it to SFxT just because Hwoarang has already been confirmed. It makes sense to me. Two Koreans being represented while being rivals to one another. I dont see who else could be Hwoarang’s rival. And I say that only because Im not a Tekken player :P.
Juri has a huge chance to make it to SF5 because of her storyline. She kills Seth. Who else could become leader of w/e seths organization was called? In SF5, Juri should be able to do top tier shit with her FSE like absorb normal fireballs while activated, or give her increased walk speed and power, or being able to cancel ANY NORMAL into her overhead etc. While gaining a proper reversal too. (Ex pinwheel?)
Juri has a chance to make it in the MVC series because alot of fans demanded for her to be in over other popular SF characters. (Via a poll from Capcom-Unity a while back, placed in like the top 10 i think in characters people wanted to see in MVC 3 for the capcom side)
I feel like Juri wont be a “leftover” character in the years to come. It looks to me like Juri’s setup to be in plenty of their games in the future. It’s just up to capcom if they feel like Juri’s worthy of taking a slot in their future titles.
Well shake, according to Seth Killian its a flat out “No”. I’d like to talk to him further though about it. Maybe he was in a bad mood and didn’t want to hear from a fanboy on “WHY ISN"T MY CHARACTER IN IT!?!?!”
As one poster said earlier (forgot his name), we can’t take this canon importance seriously, really. There are very good characters who were forgotten in this new series, especially from Alpha and SF3 – well, actually vanilla had the SF2 cast almost completed already, so yeah.
Super and AE did good by bringing some of them back, but there are remainings. And some of those spaces were given to brand new characters. Some crappy and badly designed (at least from a “tournament viability” view), others really good in many aspects, but anyway this was what happened. SF4 created some really great characters, like Juri, Viper, Gouken and Abel, and they have a chance of returning. But the thing is, unfortunately we cant tell anything about the chances of one or another char in particular.
Anyways by my side, i support her (and those 3 chars i mentioned above) for the new series, and i wish the new system make her a stronger character overall.
I think the chances of Juri making it in SFxT are pretty good, her moveset just works well with the system SFxT is using. She’s also got a unique design and she’s fairly popular, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see her in upcoming games.
