The Emilie de Rochefort (Lili) Thread

But I’m not saying Lili should be a tomboy. There’s a difference between being cocky and being a tomboy. Never once in Tekken did I hear Lili use a line similar to “Let’s get beautiful.” Instead I heard her say things like: “How long can you stand my attacks?”, “Surely you don’t believe you can beat me!”, and “This is for my father.” I would have preferred they use a line similar to those but I’m not complaining. And during one of her EX attacks she says “I can do it!” but I think in Tekken she might say something more like “I will end this.” Huge difference between can and will.

Also agree with Jenet on the voice. It’s kind of… Yuffie/Rikku from FF-esque. Lili’s voice in Tekken IS high-pitched but much more calm and confident.

EDIT: although I guess if Capcom is trying to contrast the duo, then making Lili the girly one is only fitting since her appearance would obviously flesh that out well.

I didn’t said anything about her needing be a tomboy. Of the duo, she’s the “girly” one, while Asuka is the tomboy.

She surely is kinda “over the-top” in SFxT, but at least she works.

Asuka’s rowdy, while Lili’s refined.
I think “tomboy and girly” are poor words to describe them since a lot of things about Lili (grey battle attire) and Asuka (special costumes for TK5 & 6) hardly fit those archetypes.
But whatev. I guess since Lili’s a squeaky pageant princess in this game I can expect Asuka to be a raging butch-monster.

Lili is looking really good right now( looks and gameplay wise.) She has alot of juggles and good attacks. I’m sure she’ll be high on the tier list no doubt about it, I’m looking forward to maining her.

I’m hoping her kneehop has followups or something, doesnt it have a followup in Tekken? the d3+4 launch IIRC.
it honestly looks goofy as fuck if its only the knee as a special, shouldve been a command normal if thats the case but whatever.

and Lili’s english VA is really fuckin annoying, SF4 Sakura status for sure. here’s hoping the Japanese one is bearable…

In the ex variant of her kneehop it has a follow up.

where was it shown? in all the footage i’ve seen people do EX flipkicks> EX hop> EX hop> whiffed normal hop ~_~

I’ll go find it. I know i saw her do her Ex hop into one of her Tekken like launchers just like in tekken. Where it goes Hop into a damaging pop-up.

Both EX and regular versions of her hop have a follow up, Seth just decided to rarely use it but they’ve both been shown.

I think the EX version also lets you follow up with other moves.

well good to know, I’d like to see it though >.<’

Lili is looking really nice, but her english VA is pretty annoying. I prefer her original VA.

Her English VA is fine when she isn’t mad or screaming to me.

Btw her VA does sound some what like her Tekken Variant in some ways at some points.
Lili is straight up rude

one of her quotes are

“How DARE you peasant!”

Here is that combo you guys are talking about, the EX can be followed up with another knee, even if it’s normal.0:12: 0:17

I’m pretty sure her English VA in SFxT is the same as her VA in Tekken. It’s just that now her VA is actually talking more than 4 lines at a time.

Her English VA for this game is just a little more angry and i hope they increase her health.

Capcom did a great job with the stage theme, I really liked it. The first stage themes were rather bad. Lili so far seems quite good, nice walk-speed, but she can’t take hits. Especially not from a guy like Hugo or Zangief.

o.O whuuut? she sounds completely different, no way its the same VA.
in T6 Lili has weird squeaks too but they sounded like actual attack sounds, in this it just sounds like a weird Sneeze or some odd screams. plus her lines dont really fit Lili’s character, then again pretty much all the Tekken characters are out of character… “My Perfect BODYYYYYY” -_-

Holy crap did you see how much damage Lili took from that hit that killed her?

I really think they should buff her health. It seems even lower than akuma’s and just above seth like health.
