Yeah, you got off on more of Sony’s reveals. I’m pretty much unbiased, as for the most part, I’m not going crazy over ANY reveals. I mean, I want Arkham City, AC: Revelations, Mass Effect 3, you know etc…but nothing from the consoles got me to jizz or anything, so I have to look at the quality of the work.
Good first party support for the 3DS, bringing back Starfox and Kid Icarus and making a new Luigi’s Mansion, and then the potential of the WiiU beats out anything Sony threw out because it was more of the same honestly, with Sony, you know what you’re getting. Uncharted, Resistance, the works, and the only new thing was the Vita, and when the only thing I’m impressed with is the price, that’s not good.

Alright its pretty easy to call it this year, sony won the conference with nintendo way behind the pack. Every conference had a reveal of some games, even if we had meme momments here and there between all of them they at least revealed content and gave us a idea of what to expect. Sony and microsoft had live demos, trailers and most of the reveals were seen and shown. Even the kinect bs had live demos so we at least knew what to expect. Also the speakers were clear and very open about the products they advertised, there wasnt any confusion over anything said by the other conferences.
Ninendo came in with nothing to offer. We had no gameplay,no demos,no trailers and all we heard announced were re-releases of games people stopped caring about years ago. The presentation over the wiiU was terrible, it was so vague that no one has a clue over what was actually shown lol. Every other company had something to say and show but all we had from nintendo was a lot of concepts and possibilities…in short every other conference felt like a conference while nintendo felt like a cheap bargin bin after thought.
…oh and they didn’t even tell us the price either ohh hooo boy…

Nintendo didn’t utterly fail, but they did not win best of conference. They showed some good games up there, but they are the same franchises that we’ve been seeing on every iteration of their consoles/handhelds for years. The best games that they did show, belonged to the 3DS. The standout game was Mario of course. Luigis Mansion 2 was not particularly exciting and Mario Kart was more of the same. Wii U was disappointing. They only showed the controller. I liked it’s features and the current-gen games shown were nice, but they did not show the console, nor talk about what it can do. Lack of console details, and it’s pricing was a deal breaker. I assume that they did it because they wanted to prevent making the same mistake Sony did by announcing their PS3 for 599.99.
I believe the scrolling captions at the bottom said the console would be $299, but I might’ve been imagining things. If that’s the final price, I’d be happy with that. I want to see how the console actually looks.

Though nintendo announced games that were already coming to the other consoles this is pretty much what Nintendo needed. They had been missing out having the Modern Warfare, the Batman’s and whatever and what have you. So to hear that this stuff is coming to the system is actually in fact a big deal. I actually see a good chunk of potential that can come from this but whether 3rd parties are actually gonna capitalize on it is the issue. That’s always been Nintendo’s issue.
I find that so hard to believe lol.
You know damn well it would make me…but we’re more likely to get Dream Drop Distance and BBS Volume 2 news.

How did they not utterly fail, even the mainstream G4 is confused and trying there best not to say the show sucked. Most of the conference was reduced to developers talking about the potential of the new system, it didnt even feel like a conference it felt more like a random news update on nintendo.com.
