For the first time yet I have this sickening feeling Trump might actually pull this coup off.
17 “red” states are actually teaming up with the idea of getting this to the SCOTUS…
The way they are doing it is a way I can see this working. They are not attacking with “fraud” but instead saying changes made by these states made “fraud” possible.
…I’m sure it said,“Continues to watch from the all-concealing shadows”. Don’t know where you’re coming from and I bet you don’t either. Was this trip really needed? No. No it was not.
Blockquote
The states supporting the suit, all of which have Republican attorneys general, are Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia.
I don’t think this will get to be a coup. I expect all of these states to break off into a separate country country sometime in the somewhat near future. Deadass.
On behalf of all Texans here SRK and in general, who both or either voted for Biden, respect that rights of fellow citizen in other states, and have fucking common goddamned sense that Trump blown the fuck out in the 2020 election…
…We truly deeply apologize for our corrupt as fuck AG and GOP officials and do not support this!!!
I and hopefully others will continue to do our best to vote these fuckers out.
I think you do know where I’m coming from.
“All concealing shadows”, sharing delusional, cultish rhetoric that deligmitizes the democracy of the United States and the will of an substantial majority of the American people!!
If you strongly believe the election was stolen and support the illogical and yes, illegal efforts of the soon to be former President Trump and his cronies, then you should seek better help and medication from the VA and elsewhere!!
Or forfeit them…because no true servicemen (active or ex) with functioning mental capabilities and common fucking sense would support this!!
As what Trump, an overwhelmingly number of GOP officials, and other corrupt influential people are doing goes against or irreparably damages the fondation of the United States!
States cannot legally secede from the Union. They would have to do it by force, but I think that is extremely unlikely unless those states enlist a bunch of overweight Bubbas that can’t even run a quarter mile without collapsing.
In all seriousness, they can’t. But they can separate into 5 separate states legally or some wild shit. But GOP wouldn’t want to do that because Texas is turning more and more purple every election and could end up backfiring
Scoutus don’t care. They need to go though the lower courts first. Plus if their plans backfire, it could end up with a Scoutus case law not in their favor.
Got fill up those prisons somehow. I get protecting IP, but damn.
Senators and representatives work out backroom deals to attach their pet measures to funding for things like food inspections and airport safety and then dare their colleagues to object.
This time around, one of the measures being crammed into the omnibus is a proposal from Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) to turn unauthorized commercial streaming of copyrighted material like an album on YouTube, a video clip on Twitch, or a song in an Instagram story into a felony offense with a possible prison sentence rather than a misdemeanor, according to Protocol. The text of the measure has not been publicly released yet, but it is expected to be broadly similar to past entertainment industry-backed attempts to criminalize unauthorized streaming, such as the provisions of the SOPA/PIPA bills in 2012 that sparked an unprecedented internet “blackout” protest or the Commercial Felony Streaming Act, which prompted Justin Bieber to say that its sponsor, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), should be “locked up.”
Tillis, the chairman of the Intellectual Property Subcommittee, was recently re-elected for another six-year term by a margin of less than 2% over his Democratic opponent. In the final stretch of his campaign, Tillis received a surge of campaign contributions from PACs affiliated with entertainment companies and trade groups that lobby Congress for aggressive copyright enforcement against internet users, including prison time for unauthorized streaming.
In the third and fourth quarters of 2020, Tillis’ campaign and leadership PAC received donations from PACs affiliated with the Motion Picture Association, Sony Pictures, ASCAP, Universal Music Group, Comcast & NBCUniversal, The Internet and Television Association, Salem Media Group, Warner Music, and others in the entertainment and cable industry that seek to suppress the unauthorized sharing of content. Many other entertainment industry PACs gave Tillis contributions earlier in the 2019-20 cycle, totaling well over $100,000, according to Federal Election Commission records. Executives of Fox Corporation, Sony Entertainment, Charter Communications, and CBS also made large donations to Tillis in the third quarter of this year.
No on that other side you have people who protest against the cops and then call one when they need one, protest about climate change while littering, love to get each other cancelled because they got offended again, talk about social distancing then violate it 10x over, call someone a racist when they can’t produce an educated retort, inject hormones in their 3 year olds so they can transition, and think it’s child abuse for a parent to disagree with their 8 year old son claiming he is a girl.
Yep, fighting against climate change alright. They probably used a car to get to these protest zones too.
It was a statement similar to how you are watching from the all concealing shadows. I doubt you are actually in the darkness typing on the interwebz.
Please do. Everything you have mentioned to this point has pretty much not happened. What else is there left for this administration to do? There are more positive COVID cases on Trump’s legal team than winning lawsuits. I am really trying to understand where else this can go.
