Of course Democrats are shitty. They are as shitty as your average political party is. They are about as shitty as Republicans were in the Bush era (both of them, it doesn’t matter), which was still within the range of average politicians being averagely bad.
Recently however Republicans under Trump have gone above and beyond your average shitty political stuff and are openly attacking democratic institutions, instigate actual violence against political enemies (as opposed to just calling them names) and criminally mismanaging a pandemic because they fundamentally don’t care about the casualties.
Establishment Democrats have indeed an history of playing games during their primaries and fucking over candidates they don’t like (and, by the way, the reason they fuck over progressives is also because of the bothsidesism pushed by Republicans and embraced by you, the establishment Democrats don’t want to look like “radicals”), and also as much political corruption and lies as you can imagine, and yet that hardly compares with what the Republicans are doing right now which would literally tear Democracy apart.
Democrats do bad things, and their bad things are vastly less dangerous than the borderline fascist things Republicans are into nowadays. Democrats are no guardian angels, but Republicans surely look pretty close to evil right now, so the choice is still pretty obvious.
If a thief and a psychopathic murderer both break into your house on their own you don’t treat both threats the same, you work with the thief to stop the psychopath from killing you both.
You are so lacking in critical thinking that you can’t understand the difference between “Democrats can do no wrong” and “the two sides are not equivalent right now and Republicans are clearly the larger threat that should be prioritized”.
