That’d be nuts and a very Sega move, but I don’t see it. In 2018 to present, there were complaints about TOO MUCH Yakuza, and to have 6 games dropped like that would be wild.
Like A Dragon having same day release across PS4, PC and Xboxes make sense since it’s a brand new entry with no need to know about previous installments past the easter eggs.
Having the Kiryu saga be dropped on Game Pass could be the outlier that could make it seem less of a commitment, since people curious might already have the sub.
Maybe the rest of the Kiryu saga drops in August, which is when they were released (mostly) in the U.S., and a demo of LAD drops in that time?
Square just announced today that all 9 kingdom hearts games are now on GamePass.
Also, square launched FF7, 8 Remastered, 9, X/X-2, XII Zodiac and World of FF on XBL all the same day on top of announcing FFXIII trilogies BC in the same breath.
So that kinda throws your entire argument out the window. It was a different company sure but the content dump is what I’m mentioning and is worth mentioning. It’s entirely possible what I mentioned will happen. Btw, I’m not saying Y7 won’t come out on PS4 the same day though. It likely will.
But On the flip of it since Sega has been slowly putting all their eggs in the Yakuza basket and with Sega also being Sega; I wouldn’t be surprised if Y7 is a timed exclusive for the Xbox brand.
I must have missed that part. Still, all the other Yakuza titles being dumped on XBGP the same day as Y7’s launch isn’t out of the realm of possibility
Game Pass probably makes it easier to get into a series with a lot of games, than asking them to pay an upfront price, is what I’m thinking. Still crazy, but awesome nonetheless.
Not sure if should watch IGN or not, it starts in less than 10 minutes. State of Play should be cool. Should go do something worthwhile for the next 4 hours…

it was some strategy/tactics looking thing, complete with the “grid” look where characters stand on hexagon areas and take turns attacking enemies. Also, the graphics looked like something from the late 1990s.
