The Dynasty/Samurai/Gundam/Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) Warriors thread

Sickle and CHain, Gloves, Rapier, Flying Swords, and Throwing Swords have to nbe my favorite movesets. Have a hard time hitting the J. S after C5.

Love seeing stuff like this in DW7…

inb4wutcrossbowhazcomboz?

And Jump/Roll Cancelling the Weapon Switch animation is so sexy. And come to think of it, when you cancel a Speed weapon’s animation with the Jump button, do you guys consider it a JC, a RC, or the love child of both? What do you guys think?

If you’re canceling with a jump, it’s a jump cancel.

duh =P

Yeah but in fairness it doesn’t reallly “feel” like a Jump Cancel like in the WO games. More like an Air Dash Cancel perhaps?

Just my two cents.

Been reading the Scholar quiz cliff notes…what in the FUCK!!!
Cao Cao seemed to be quite paranoid.

Some questions actually confused the hell out of me…

How?

[details=Spoiler]In “Romance of the Three Kingdom,” Ma Dai is introduced as Ma Chao’s younger
brother. However, Ma Dai was not really Ma Teng’s son. Ma Dai was actually which of the following?

-Ma Teng’s elder brother[/details]

Nigga killed thousands of innocent people. What the fuck you think? LOL

That’s why he said “I’d rather betray the world than let the world betray me.”

So it was Liu Bei who basically called for Lu Bu’s execution…not Cao Cao.
Liu Bei stopped Cao Cao from killing Zhang Liao…who was cussing at Cao Cao.
Awesome…

Guan Yu was playing Go while having surgery to remove a poisoned arrow…Guan-like.

This was funny to me:

Just dope…

According to the book he did it w/o anesthesia.

Even better!

Having read the ROTK…how do you perceive the DW games?

Just from reading the scholar quiz questions…there are things I wish were in the game, like Ding Feng dealing the killing blow to Zhang Liao…seeing that it was Ding Fang’s arrow that lead to Zhang Liao’s Demise.

Well pretty much the same just a little more Shu bias. Cao Cao seems a lot more ruthless in the book compared to the game. Most characters portrayed very similar well besides the female. Obviously in the game they can fight and shit, but in the book they are pretty much useless except for Diao Chan who made Lu Bu seemed like a dumb ass.

Not much focus on 2nd generation characters like Guan Ping, and Xing Cai though (hell I don’t even remember them.)

Yea there always thing that in the book that aren’t in the game that I think they could of made cut scenes for.

Example Cao Cao killing Hua Tao. (Some historical context)
Zhang Fei being killed by his own men. (I mean he’s one of the original 3 brothers. I think his death warrants a cut scene at least).

Probably about 20-30 more I can come up with but just not thinking about right now.

To me the people that came out best from the book are Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, and Zhou Yun

35-ish hours into Gundam Musou 3 now, and I am trying to get some licenses. Is there a list of what MS’ a pilot can use? I’ve played 5 missions with Jerrid using the Gundam II Titans but didn’t get a license, so which MS does he pilot?

I think it’s either Elle or Emma.

I always felt Zhang Fet got shafted because Guan Yu was pretty much always the main focus on Shu’s end. Especially on the death part. I think DW5 mentions it in some of the story modes via text before the next battle but that’s about it.

Well yeah. One was a very charismatic, tall and sturdy man with social grace while the other one was Wario’s ancestor who drank a lot and can also be ineloquent at times.

I honestly like Zhang Fei more than Guan Yu so…yea. lol. Not many people I actually like in Shu. I somehow liked Jiang Wei but as they started to show his story a bit more (especially in DW7) I really don’t like that guy much now.

regardless, I’ve always liked Wu/Wei over Shu anyway.

For me, Jiang Wei was really sympathetic in DW7. How he would struggle to fulfill his mentor’s wishes but still fail in the end despite his efforts. It really goes to show the harsh reality that sometimes, things aren’t meant to be, no matter how hard you try.

However, what baffled me was that how come “Neo” Shu could not accept that Wei wasn’t doing anything wrong. In Jin’s storyline, the whole gist of Wei’s situation was that they were simply chilling, it seemed like they did not want to invade Shu and Wu for any reason. However Shu and Wu, being the insecure pricks that they are, saw it reasonable and justified to invade them, simply because they are the “evil empire,” more on Shu. How in the hell is invading another country “benevolent?” (shot) Shouldn’t Shu try to make peace with Wei as well? Seems to me that they caused more destruction than peace with their constant counter intuitive invasions if you ask me.

And didn’t Liu Bei’s officers also dethrone and kill his relative who was ruling the Western lands at the time?

He pilots the Byalant. Would guess Emma or Elle unlocks the Mk II Titans.

Well that’s where I like when Liu Shan and Shima Zhao just end up saying “why the fuck are we still fighting our ancestor’s problems?” Shame it didn’t last long but at least they ended up trying to patch things up with words rather than swords.

But something doesn’t sit quite right with me with Liu Shan’s chilling basically saying, “Yeah, you guys killed off my friends, especially my incredibly hot warrior sex slave who would do anything for me despite me being an indecisive sissy boy, but hey, it’s all good mang.”

And I’ve been wondering why Koei decided to have Zhong Hui be voiced by a more annoyingly higher pitched Raiden, but then it hit me. Dat tight fitted skinny European armor must be hugging his biscuits 24/7 must caused the voice to lighten up.
