Sasuke was really bland in past games IMO but they are making some major changes from what I’ve read so I’m excited to play this new version of him
Nope, not really. She was fun to play as, but that’s about it. I’m all for them putting an older version of her back in, with Dolly Parton tits or something. Maybe I just can’t get over her Devil Kings voice. For that, just make her a fully westernized character. Not like she fits in historically anyway. Even though she wasn’t a real person, I’d like to know the inspiration behind “random ice chick with a hammer”.
Also, if you can believe it, Zabii/Xavi was my favorite character to use.
I did play both. Now I’m back to playing the one I like infinitely better. And putting my guns on.
But you’re right. And I can’t even knock Koei as much If it’s not broke don’t fix it right? And no matter how much I, reviewers, and other gamers rag on the DW series, it’ll still get sales outta the ass. Because it’s familiar territory to everyone. EVERYONE. You’d be hardpressed to find anyone who owns a gaming system and doesn’t know about DW. Even in the depths of the hood, dudes are high as fuck and mashing in the ps2 games as we speak, not knowing that a single character is based on a real person in history. I talk mad shit about Koei but they got consumers trained like Pavlov’s dog.
DW7 is well-received in general, and by me no less, as it’s the only one I could bring myself to play or actually purchase(shudders). I feel it’s a more “complete” game than Basara 3, if you want to look at it that way. Really good same story they repeat over and over, but it’s presented well. Thing is though, after all that, I just want to…kill shit in extreme ways. And my copy of Basara starts glowing…
And yea it’s cute how Kojuro and Sasuke are always babysitting Date and Yuki. I like them more too. It was said that Kojuro is officially stronger than Date. I believe Sasuke is more of beast than we know, he just always gets gone before putting himself in any real harm.
He’s in the story so much, I nearly forgot he wasn’t playable in SB3. I don’t know if it’s been confirmed or not, but I just hope they bring his “nappy hair mode” back.
I never really liked using Sasuke either. You could get clever with his fighting style in SB2H, but it wasn’t much for battling the heavy hitters. And his super in Utage still seems pretty meh to me.
They haven’t confirmed that, but they have confirmed him having some sort of dual wielding mode, maybe it’s combined with that. But yeah I’d like to see his YAKUZA RAGE mode back too, shit was awesome.
Yea man just give him back “not a single fuck was given” mode and save the duel-wielding shenanigans for…Mushashi. (gasp)

I’m eh on DW7. I still love DW3 for their retarded AI and Crossbow rape but DW5 chaos makes you hate the world. Everything other DW game is kinda a big hit/miss. (meh on DW4, DW6 had awesome music but cloneville.) DW7 ist still fun I guess. Twin axes are still dumb, Lance is fun, spinner is fun, Brush needs some tweaking. Need the paintings to come out whenever I hit the charge button regardless. somewhat like Chokosabe but with charge moves. Or hell, just let S attacks release it. Though what I DO want them to do is give the Qiao twins their double fans back. Shit doesn’t look right with 1 fan…cloned. Give Cao Pi his attached swords back instead of being lazy and making him twin swords. The constant changes go on.
and good shit to Koei for actually fucking up Ma Chao on a horse. Cause you know…Ma Chao’s meaning has nothing to do with Horses. He could’ve been a complete monster on a horse with custom strings for weapons while only on a horse but whatever. Too much space I guess…or pure usual lazy.

I’ll get around to SB3 at some point. I barely ran through SB2H.
Nah it isn’t silly. Every character in SB3 got a movelist makeover/improvement as well as getting access to more specials at any one time, not just 2. I would have liked more sure, but 16 characters where some are completely unique for a beatemup and with the older ones getting either partially or completely revamped, it’s perfectly understandable.
Doesn’t make sense to me really. How does Kojuro (and I guess Sasuke) get canned from a revamp when it’s a game after their last appearance?
Just like how Pang De/Da Qiao/Jiang Wei are completely MIA from DW5 to DW6 with no actual reason. Especially when Zhang Liao took Pang De’s moveset, Xiao with her sister, Jiang Wei with every other spear clone.
To make room for new characters and to focus on the more popular ones from the past. The other reason is to make another ver.2 type game in utage lol. BASARA is a pretty big money maker in Japan.
I picked up Overture a few months back as part of an earthquake charity sale. It’s a great game, but to play online you really have to get on between midnight and noon during the weekend and hope one of the few Japanese players is on.
Out of all the DLC characters in DWG3, I’m most tempted by the Susanowo and MISTA BUSHIDO. I want to get my HOWADO MASOOOON on.

Finally got ahold of DW7 and I had a day off today so I just grinded through the Jin story and some of the Wu stoy. Man near the end of the Jin story I was getting a little depressed, shit is sad. Wu story looks like it’ll be cool, always did like the Wui characters but their campaings always sucked dick in the previous games. The clone shit bugs me but I still had fun with it.
So I’m planning on buying ALL of the DW7 DLC, if someone here is planning on buying ALL of the DWG3 DLC, wanna share with each other? :shy:

Pretty obvious Japanese DW players don’t like big/old/muscular/bearded men much.
Was originally surprised that Xiahou Dun and Zhang Liao made top 10…but they were represented pretty well in DW7.
Wei repped the most in the top 10 (I still consider Sima Yi Wei).
Wonder if they did an EU/NA poll…if that list would be reversed.
