No release date…yet.
Is there a reason why dynasty warriors gundam is still full fucking price?
You could always jump the gun and import it, since it has been released in Japan already. Everyone here is waiting for the localized release though.
Probably just to milk out money from the Gundam license associated with it. I actually didn’t like the Gundam one all too much.
Wooord. Cao Pi looks crazy there.
So that you’ll wait and buy the 2nd one instead…? :bgrin:
Speaking of SW2XL, Katsuie is absolutely nuts, and the explosion special just makes him even more ridiculous. :looney:
Nah, I don’t import. Too pricey for me. I’ll wait for the US release, I can wait :P. Is there any difference between PS2 and PSP Orochi Warriors, and which are the latest PS2 US DW and SW games?
Gameplay wise, they are identical. All the characters, moves, items, everything is the same. There aren’t as many voices going on during the stages… you know how normally people are talking about strategies or defending a base or whatever? That is gone. I think they only time you really hear voices is when you defeat an officer, the one liners they say after that. It’s been awhile since I played. Also, the cut scenes are just comic book style now, not a full video sequence. I still recommend it without the voices and videos. The gameplay is still excellent.
I do miss the voices, since when things are being discussed in a stage sometimes you miss the text bubble and it was nice to not lose focus of fighting and just hear the voices. The video sequences I didn’t miss. I’d recommend it - it’s cheap and fun. Definitely worth the price if you are a DW fan.
And there is so much hidden dialouge in WO…it’s fuckin hilarious. What sucks for me is that I don’t hear them saying them.
Like in SW Chapter 8-X: Battle of Bai Di Castle…I was playing as Ling Tong. I approached Lady No and this transpired:
Ling Tong: "Hey there. I’m Ling Tong. I’m helping your husband out."
No: "Yes, he does like to pick up what others have already discarded…"
Ling Tong: “Ooh. I guess that’s one-nil, huh?”
I was laughing so hard when I saw that…
No is such a bitch…
I’m going to try some of these out:
Shu Story 2: Battle of Hasedo - Approach Zhuge Liang:
Ginchiyo: "Can you defeat a Tachibana?!"
Zhuge Liang: “Look around. How much significance do you really think your family name carries in this world?”
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURNNNNN!!!
Shu Story 2-X - Ambush at Nan Zhong - Approach Zhang He as Ginchiyo Tachibana:
Zhang He: "You are supposed to be a woman… Where is your sense of grace?"
Ginchiyo: “You’re supposed to be a warrior. Where’s your sense of masculinity?”
Damn I need to get this game on console…
PSP one does have the Strike Force outfits for like 3 characters =p
The voices is one of the reasons I’m still undecided on getting WO2 for PSP. If they end up making it better than WO1 and include all the cutscenes and voices, I’ll definitely pick it up. If the voices are cut out, I might just get the PS2 version instead. I don’t want to buy the same game twice.
Pick up WO2 for console. They have some good quotes too.
I want the portability of the PSP version, which is why I’m holding off on the WO2 for console. I don’t want to unlock everything and level everyone up twice. If they don’t have the voices this time around though, I’m picking up the console version.
I’m waiting for WOZ for PS3…so hyped.
I hope the achievements will be fun.
My votes for Gundam…the only one I’ve played through extensively really…
Isn’t DW6 Empires supposed to make use of the redone movesets from DW6 Special? May be best to just go for that.
Speaking of which, just saw Meng Huo’s Empire redesign. Lol, got the female fanservice & some Wan-Fu action going on.
Yes he is.
Has 2 command grabs…and his RI powerup is powerful.
Add attackx2 and no generic clone is safe. I like finishing off characters with his throw.
And I still hate playing as Yoshimoto Imagawa. His moveset is too damn frustrating to me. I used to think that Gracia’s moves were hard…but in time I got used to it (mainly use her RI attacks…they are too broken).
Well I also want to view Ling Tong’s, Zhang He’s, Yue Ying’s, Ma Chao’s, Cao Pi’s, and Taishi Ci’s Story modes.
If Empires will have Musou Mode…then I’ll definitely skip Special.
Yuri Lowenthal does the voice of Sun Ce?
Awesome…
Yeah…so Koei released the DW: Strikeforce demo (JPN) for PSP. (Click on the section that has “NEW” under it, and then the large blue button. After some prompts, you’ll be able to download the demo. Sorry I wasn’t able to get the direct link of the zip.)
Got it…and I like it so far.
It looks real good for a PSP game…close to a PS2 game.
It has alot of characters ready to use off the bat…so I started with Zhao Yun.
Thanks for the link… downloading it right now.
The final character for Warriors Orochi Z is…The Buddhist Priest Sanzang Fashi!

2 player mode has been improved in MOZ…the second player can choose a different team.
I’m hoping for online play.
That was dope! She knocks them all back with just a shoosh. And she can glide.
