Some of the more powereful weapons you can buy after opening up all of conquest mode. most weapons have 10 different builds with slight changes in looks and stats. Pretty much the rare wep hex’s in conquest mode are preset it doesn’t matter the lvl you play normal,hard,chaos.

2nd link really useful. Are those final weapon can only be bought? Or what are they obtainable by drops or how does it work? I noticed prices next to them.
Zhang Fei Mousu is so fucking cheese. You can target whoever you want. Make bosses so free.
It takes off CHUNKS of damage AND it’s unblockable! Probably the best Musou in the game, but I haven’t played Lu Bu yet.

Glad to see you guys are enjoying the game. Unfortunately for me, I chose The 3rd Birthday over Dynasty Warriors 7 since I wanted to see Lightning Brea’s exposed shoulders and her tight fitted clothing more than Wang Yuanji throwing shanks and Bao Sanniang sluttifying the series up all day, err day.
I should get it next week though.

Bao Sanniang is the same exact way, but I tried Chaos mode and they DID block it.
So I’m assuming that his shit is block able too.

Well, shit. The move description in game states that Zhang Fei’s is unblockable, but I guess that the CPU can just go into IDGAF mode on Chaos and block whatever.

After being disappointed with DW 6 I had low expectations for DW 7. But man am I enjoying this game and I’ve only been playing it for a day. Really like how they handled Story Mode and I havent even played Conquest mode yet. Glad I decided to buy this game.
Well I ran into Zhang Fei in conquest mode and he did it on me. I couldn’t block it. :sad:
Must be some kind of bull shit AI on chaos mode thingy.
I love the story mode, they handled it really well. I still wish it was coop and that you can choose from the certain officers in the battle instead of being locked to use a certain character but whatever its still awesome.
ill probably try online after i get the other 2 characters i want to use (only have gan ning, need lian shi and zhange he)
Is it worth beating the rare weapon level items on chaos?
I just tried beginner for the 1st time today, because I wanted to see how easy it was. I WAS GETTING THE SAME FREAKING ITEMS. Isn’t it smarter to play on beginner and go for dead boy infinite to try and get +4? Instead of running around on Chaos to get +1 after you kill an officer…
Probably won’t touch Chaos unless it’s a rare item level (does it even matter or we get the same bonus item on any difficulty?)… all other levels I’m just leave it on hard… which is still pretty damn easy.
Ahhhh you guys are making me want to get this game! After DW6 fucked up all my favourite characters and used that horrible renbu system I was ready to jump ship. Good to hear it’s bringing back that DW goodness :tup:
Have any of the characters been re-designed move wise?
Moves are based on weapon and not character.
Everyone has the same moves it just depends on weapon you are using.
Wow, that’s a change, dunno how I feel about that. At least Zhou Tai won’t be stuck with that horrible moveset then lol.
Yea there are definitely more characters than weapons which seems stupid, but at the same token everyone has two weapons and you can change weapons at anything even during mid battle.
So you can start off the battle in tank mode, run into lu bu switch to archer mode start to hit and run, then go back into w/e mode you want.
Really useful for Chaos difficulty if you haven’t max out your character. I was able to play Zhang Fei and Guan Yu like that. Literally on the 3rd weapon barley any stats and was able to hold my own on Chaos. Just when in doubt switch to bow/throwing knives build that mousu then unleash your shit. Zhang Fei mousu 1 makes Chaos mode look like a joke.
