Liang Shi reminds me of Bayonetta. The resemblance is uncanny…though Liang Shi’s a lot more stacked than Bayonetta.
I’ll be eager to see Wei Yan’s render. Probably my favorite Shu general to play as besides the mighty Zhang Fei. Will he look wild or…tamed? Hopefully wild, he was always the odd man out of the Shu generals.
Pang Tong made it. I am officially awaiting this game to not suck.
Didn’t even know this thread existed. Some interesting discussion going on in the Hokuto Musou Thread. I am currently doing character write-ups. http://shoryuken.com/f3/dynasty-warriors-hokuto-no-ken-fist-northstar-209741/ Check the last few pages.

Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 heads stateside this summer
By Tom Magrino, GameSpot Posted Feb 4, 2011 12:28 pm PT Namco Bandai-published mech beat-'em-up given midyear North American release window on 360, PS3.
Namco Bandai has gone on a game-announcement bender this week, confirming the impending releases of Dark Souls, Armored Core V, and Tales of Graces F, as well as indicating that new Power Rangers games are en route. Now, one more title can be added to that list, as the publisher today said that it would release Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the US this summer.
Like previous installments in the series, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 is a sci-fi take on Tecmo Koei’s long-running Dynasty Warriors beat-‘em-up franchise. Gundam fans will find more than 50 characters and 70 mobile suits that can be played and customized, all gleaned from the series’ 30-year anime and manga history. These playable options include additions from the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Mobile Suit Gundam UC series.
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 will also boast a handful of tweaks over previous installments in the series. Namely, the game includes three new feature systems–Partner Strike, Emergency Dash, and Recovery Gauge Systems–which the publisher claims will amp up its focus on tactics. The game also includes an online versus mode and a four-player cooperative campaign.
Released as Gundam Musou 3 in Japan last December, the game has already proven successful for Namco Bandai. As part of its nine-month earnings report this week, the publisher said the game has sold more than 430,000 units through December.
Please please PLEASE…have Scott McNeil voice Duo Maxwell.

Good to see a lot of the DW mainstays are still voicing their respective characters. No Michael McConnohie as Zhang Liao however, saddens me. He was the best voice for Zhang Liao. Lex Lang appears to be voicing Zhuge, but he’s using that pussified voice from DW5. DW4’s rendition was better, for what it’s worth…
The majority of the voice cast makes me very happy, so a few bad voices won’t prevent me from getting this thing since we probably won’t be getting the Japanese cast(AGAIN).

I guess I should abandon hope of hearing the sexyness that is Sima Shi Byakuya in the comfort of my own home once we get the game huh?
Still waiting for my homeboy Cao Pi, aka Bovine Urine. If not, then Sima Shi/Kuchiki Byakuya should suffice.

DW7 control scheme from Insp. Chin (PS3)
If you?re familiar with the control of any Warriors series games, you know Square is the button you have to press a lot and Circle (O) button is always the Musou attack. Thanks to the Renbu system which is finally gone, so you get to press Triangle more often than what you?ve done in the past Dynasty Warriors 6. The battle control for Dynasty Warriors 7 is pretty much the same but with some slight changes. I?ll tell you how every button works ? remember I?m referring to the PlayStation 3 control here.
Square button
Normal attack, which you press it quite a lot ? Square, Square, Square for example.
You can also use it while jumping (in the air) or running.
However, you can?t use it while you?re in the water. You can only swim in the water.
Triangle button
Strong attack that can follow the Normal attack for more powerful attack ? Square, Square, Triangle for example.
EX attack, different character has different EX attack command: TT, STT, SSTT, SSSSSTT.
You can also use it while you?re riding horse, horse will jump.
However, you can?t use it while jumping (in the air) with your own, so press Square button instead.
Circle (O) button
Musou attack when you have 1 or more Musou gauge full. It?s the Special attack for each officer.
You can?t charge your Musou gauge.
(X) button
Jump, the longer you hold the (X) button, the longer you hold it, the higher you?ll jump.
Mount / dismount horse, ladder climbing, utilize the siege weapons (you have to stand near them until the button command appears.)
L1 button
Guard, block attacks from the enemies.
Somersault, regain control when knocked into the air by an enemy attack.
L2 button
Call horse, and you will hear a sound of a whistle.
R1 button
Switch weapon. I normally use this in the middle of the attack, especially you switch it from a spear to another weapon, you will be able to jump your opponent?s head and perform this (00:52-00:55). Each weapon has its own stylish attack while switching.
R2 button
Left stick / directional buttons
Move while you?re on the ground, swim while you?re in the water.
Right stick
Select button
Display the battlefield map and officer?s location.
Start button
Pause and display the menu, like you can view your weapon info and even change it anytime you want.
Select + Start button
Shaking your controller
You can control Seige weapons to a degree.
In some battlefield, you?ll see siege weapons. Once you approach, you press (X) button (for the PlayStation 3) to utilize it. Some siege weapons have more attacks, juggernaut (for example) ? you can move it or drive it around with your left stick (directional buttons) and execute different attacks by pressing Square / Triangle / (O) button, and of course (X) button is for you to get off, but don?t think you can drive the juggernaut for long because the enemies would come to destroy it ? yes it?s destruct-able and you can?t drive it to certain area of the map.
Besides juggernaut, there are other types of siege weapons as well. You can use a ballista to fire the arrows continuously to destroy obstacles or attack the enemies, or a catapult to throw stones to break the gate and so on. It gives you more variety on what you can do in the battlefield with not just hacking and slashing.
Victory/defeat poses are gone…I might miss that.
The morale bar has been removed from DW7…yet the morale system itself still remains and will be reflected from the messages of various officers.
I have been waiting a loooong time for this announcement. Now I can finally put DWG2 and it’s ridiculous friendship system to rest.
And I heard/read the crossover storyline from DWG1 is back too!
fuck yes, need more “COME OUT! QUBELEY!”
…user is blocking most of the time.
Also…DW7(SSM6) will get the costumes from SSM6 for free first day(Jpn only), and DW5-4 costumes will follow. For FREE.
Not sure if the US/EU copies will get them.
Since I can’t find the Sengoku Basara thread…
For the trophy for killing less than 100 enemies in story mode is it: A) killing less than 100 enemies per battle, B) killing less than 100 enemies in at least one battle, or C) killing less than 100 enemies total?
Any help would be much appreciated.
DWG3 is a lot better than 2!
Storyline is crossover indeed! You got decent amount of freedom to play the story mode also.
Upgrade is money based.
