The Dynasty/Samurai/Gundam/Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) Warriors thread

Zhao Yun

New favorite look now…only gripe is that his hair and headband makes him look like Inahime.

.

It seem that no matter how much I try to protect all the allies, one gets peaceed out before Kagetsusu reached the base…or the one ally that is a pixel away from death runs charging after a raged up Honda.

Maybe it’s because I have a shitty 3rd weapon.

I haven’t done Kane’s dream stage just yet, but what weapon are you playing with? I usually use Metal and Magic, not that it makes that much of a difference, but none the less…

Start with a horse, that way you can get across the stage quicker. Keep an eye on the map, where your men are, even if you see the slightest red, go save them. And for the love of god, don’t let anyone else but Kanetsugu Naoe go after Tadakatsu.

(edit) seems something’s wrong with the quotes…

Oh and you know what sucks, despite the fact that my Motochika is all maxed out-level 70, his defense is HORRIBLE. Best thing about him, I can dick around, build up my musou meter and just throw soundwaves at the enemy from far away, lol.

I was using Sacred Arms…and I already got his 4th weapon.

I did need a fast horse, and the order of who I attacked was a factor.

BTW…it’s Lu Xun!

I use Pale Cloud as my horse. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t think I have Sacred Arms just yet…I don’t play as Kanetsugu as much as I used to, but yeah, first, protect your men, then go after the enemies in that order.

I don’t know if this is much a factor, but most of the time, I find that when I defeat Ina before Tadakatsu, Tadakatsu seems a bit harder to defeat than usual…or is it just me?

I’ve used Pale Cloud alot…so that was a help.
But I’ll be getting Matsukaze my next playthrough.

I’ve gotten used to Tadakatsu’s attacks.

If my character is level 40+…and has a good weapon with upgrades (I think the one I used was ice-based, with bonus range, dex, and attack), I can handle Tadakatsu 1 on 1. I don’t block though, I mostly dodge.

I actually had fun with Tadakatsu during Mistuhide’s Dream stage…kept freezing him with C5 all day.

Something else I’ve noticed about SW2…spamming Musou attacks are useless against enemy officers.

I can’t get Motochika to block for the life of me, or Keiji. Though the best thing about using Choso is that I can still attack from far away, with his musou, just press circle the whole time, lol.

Just lots of evading, the block system is terrible, they should do something about it. And Nene’s been really pissing me off lately, because she attacks down low, I’m trying to attack Hideyoshi, then she comes and hits me in the back of the knees, WTF.

Speaking of Mitsuhide’s dream stage, I decided to piss my brother off and use Gracia when we did two player, Mitsuhide’s at level…55…I think, and Gracia was at level 1, we did chaos mode, one hit KO on Gracia, but it was silly. What a waste of character she is…I guess I have to level her up, too.

And that all depends, actually, like I mentioned as Motochika, I can stay in the back and still attack with my musou, but with someone like Keiji, it really was pointless, unless it’s double musou with my fire ninja bodyguard, even that, it’s pretty bad.

Don’t sleep on Gracia and Motochika…especially Gracia.
While her charge attacks are meh…her R1 attacks are close to broken when leveled up.
Add the fact that her special skills has her gradually regaining Musou, and her charge attack refills her Musou guage greatly (can refill all 3 musou bars with one charge attack on a group of enemies)…she has become a fav of mine.

As for Motochika, I actually play him up close using his C1 and C2 all day.
I use his 4th weapon more than his 5th though (which were suprisingly easy to get).

I’ve been meaning to begin her story, but I was too busy with Choso in Mercenary Mode. You mean Fatal Echo? That’s the one I always have him play.

Yeah…Fatal Echo.
It has demon elements…which got nerfed in SW2XL.

Nerfed…it sucks, I worked my ass off getting that thing. Hardest part was because I kept killing the reserve captain when I have to get 150 kills + Hideyoshi kill in 4 minutes AND survive the stage in chaos mode with Ranmaru Mori up my ass, AND keep Magoichi alive.

I’m not saying Fatal Echo is a bad weapon though…look at its stats:

Stats: Life +55
Defense +53
Luck +36

No wonder I was able to learn ALOT of skills after getting this.

My issue with the Demon Element is that it basically did nothing at times. I think its properties were that the more health the enemy officer had…the more damage it did to that enemy officer. So there wasn’t really any OHKO’s going around.

Don’t forget that in SW2XL…you can change the element of a weapon if you have an orb.

That’s what I usually do, I might switch Fatal Echo to ice, actually. I switched Keiji’s Ogre Horn from wind to fire, which helped alot, also.

Yeah…Fatal Echo gives Motochika a NICE defensive boost.
I have like 4 Fatal Echo’s already…I may change one to lightning, and one to ice.

Ice is so fun.
freeze then juggle, then repeat.

And he needs that defensive boost more than anyone I think. Ice is awesome, the best element in the game. Now I’m thinking of who’s story I should do next. I’ve done Mitsuhide, Yukimura, Nobunaga, Kanetsugu, Mitsunari, Keiji, Magoichi(which was depressing in the end), Motochika, and Musashi.

Who do you think? Maybe Gracia?

It sucked, in Motochika’s story, I tried to save Nobuchika, then I did the stage again and tried to pass the scene where Nobuchika dies, but I couldn’t :frowning: I think I might do Rescue of Mitsunari again with Keiji and try to save Yukimura this time, last time I just let him get routed.

In XL I’ve done all six XL characters story modes…good stuff

In regular 2 I’ve done:
Yukimura
Kanetsugu
Kenshin
Ginchiyo
Mitsunari (just finished)
I’m slowly trying to unlock all the story mode characters in SW2…

I’d say go for Ginchiyo’s storyline next…hers was surprisingly good.

I was actually thinking of doing her story, it’s funny at work, they call me either Ginchiyo or Chibi Keiji, lol. Second Choso stage, I had to work my ass off keeping her alive…that sucked.

Another one would be Kojiro’s story mode.
BE warned though…getting his 4th weapon was such a pain in my ass.

What did you have to do for that?

In Chaos of Kyoto: Make Musashi appear and get 300 KOs in 10 minutes.

It was very hard to accomplish because Kojiro talks…alot…which fucks up the timing.
I ended up pausing during his speeches.

That was a big problem when I tried to get Liberator for Mitsuhide…I think it was Liberator…in the Battle of Yamazaki, he talked so much, hell, he does it all the time, and I’m thinking, STFU Mitsu! But that was another problem with Kojiro in Musashi’s story, he talked too much, though the yaoi fangirl in my loved it, hehehe.
