The Dynasty/Samurai/Gundam/Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) Warriors thread

Can’t wait to see Nouhime’s design being she’s my favorite video game character, not digging the Shingen headress thing on Mitsunari, seems a bit much considering his character. I wonder if there’s gonna be some type of rivalry between Naihime and Nene considering they’re concubines for Hideyoshi. Hell, Naihimes might even replace Nene, lol.

Koei Warriors got some new info regarding Samuari Warriors 3…

I’m glad they made it so that ALL characters can call a horse…finally.

Still no word on if its coming to any consoles other than the Wii? :frowning:

Also Ginchiyo better be in this.

ive never played a sam warriors game
dw 4 life

should i try this out? are they better?

It’s basically Dynasty Warriors…in Japan.
Same controls as classic DW games.
Can have an officer accompany you in battle, which you can do double musou with.
Some characters are hard to get used to from the start…like Gracia and Yoshimoto, but once you level Gracia up, she’s practically broken.

And dude…Hanzo is in there, that should be win.

Only SW games I have are SW2, and XL…but I put over 100hrs on XL.

Edit: .

New SW3 screenshots…colors look vibrant this time around.

…nice.

wait, you said same controls as CLASSIC dw games?
so there are combos that involve charge and not just mashing attack?

Pretty much so…the last SW game was on 2007, before DW6.

Better version of the SW3 teaser trailer

There is something about DW6: Empires that is starting to bother me…and I hope that I’m not the only one.

I noticed that elemental attacks don’t show up as frequent as in DW6, this is especially when I add Mystic seal to the weapon.

Even when I hit Musou/True Musou, only like one or two officers are iced/ignited/burned.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Disappointing to see that SW3 isn’t using the DW6 engine and looks just like SW2 visually. Not that I expected much from the Wii.

I do like the character updates/redesigns. Honda looks older and is definitely the SW equivilant of Lu Bu now moresothan ever with the updated look. The giant head boa or whatever is on the dude with the fans is an odd choice.

I still want to play it and will be extremely pissed if Koei, king of the ports, decides to keep this a Wii exclusive.

Also the DW Strikeforce 360/PS3 port better come stateside.

Screens of 360 and PS3 Strikeforce.

If that is ingame shots…fuckin bought.

hrmmm looks like a direct port
i might even pass on this because ive done everything on the psp

I buy anything DW and almost anything from Koei. Hack n slash is not for everyone, but I love it.

Renting DW6 Empires and I’m fucking addicted for the first time since WO2. Haven’t tried everything yet, but there’s 2 things I already love: infinitely-recharging True Speed (practically no need for a horse atm) and the Steal effect (makes grinding for funds sooo much faster).

Well…Gan Ning’s moveset is now up there as my favorite DW6 moveset.
It’s just is so beastly w/ air seal and phantom hand. Dominates on inf. renbu. TAKE THAT BLOCKING GENERALS!!!

All my ninjas rock Gan Ning’s…

Made my trek through hard mode alot easier.

Do i get more rare jewels on harder difficulties? I’m actually considering farming for Flash.

I’m looking to get one of the following due to limited time & budget. Hopefully someone here who got all 3 can give a good suggestion.

Gundam 2
Orochi Z
6 Empires

I’m sure someone else could better elaborate on them, but imo I’d rank them:

Orochi Z - All the DW/SW characters (and then some) in one game w/ MVC2-style teams of three/tagging. Import-only though, cheaper option would be WO2 for PSP later this month, which includes the extras from Z.

Gundam 2 - Old DW Charge system with mechs/boosting. That’s pretty much it. There are some giant robot-type bosses (like you can literally run around them hacking away at just their feet).

6 Empires - It’s fun, but Renbu system is still not as…satisfying as the old Charge one. And even though Ma Chao, Yue Ying, Taishi Ci, etc got changed, a lot of the cast still shares movesets. Biggest plus (as it’s been with most Empires games lately) would be the CAW system. Right now I’m running around with a ghetto Hwang Sung-Kyung from Soul Calibur

well i have DWG2 has anyone been playing the online mode and if so when so i can give this a shot
