With titles such as Hyrule Warriors and Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, Koei Tecmo must be thinking what’s next on their Musou plate. Key developers shared more in Dengeki PlayStation’s 600th issue Q&A session. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Koei Tecmo producer Hisashi Koinuma:

Q: So what happened during the 10 years of hearing nothing about Ni-Oh?
A: We made two test versions on the PlayStation 3, but we weren’t able to see the fun in them. This time, we were able to find a direction that we believe can meet expectations on the PlayStation 4, so we made the announcement.

Q: If you could make a new Musou/Warriors series, what would it be?
A: Star Wars Musou.

Q: We want to play an Atelier Musou!
A: We’ll consider it if the fan demand gets loud enough.

Koei Tecmo’s head of studio Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi:

Q: Isn’t it about time for a new Ninja Gaiden title…?
A: There are many staff members that say they’d like to begin producing one, but due to all kinds of projects being in the works, we haven’t been able to make it happen. However, we do have some concepts for it, so once they begin to shape up, we’ll let you know.

Atelier series director Yoshita Okamura:

Q: Will there be a fourth title for the Dusk series?
A: Knowing the reaction from all the fans, I have been thinking about developing it in one way or another. However, it still needs just another push to make it happen, so we’re at a stage where we’re thinking of ideas for it at the moment. Perhaps we may be able to announce something on it soon.

A Star Wars Musou would be day ZERO for me…it NEEDS to happen in my life.

How is everyone liking DQH so far? I’ve been busy all day + uncharted HD so I’ve played the prologue but I really like it so far.

The Male main character is the most annoying fuck in the world though.

Star Wars seems ideal (and Japanese are apparently in love with the series). I personally wouldn’t care too much for it. But if it attracts people away from EA’s money hungry ways then sure I guess.

Yea. Koei already does scummy dlc shit, so it’s not like theres much EA could do in terms of that.

Bring on the Star Wars Musou.

DQH looks fun. Will have to cop it next pay check.

Yeah. I don’t get that as much as people bitch about EA and other companies making so much DLC when usually companies like Koei, Atlus and NIS have literally $100’s worth of DLC AT LAUNCH. It’s kinda ridiculous. Sure it’s still stuff like in-game currency or a character skin but the fact they are there for .99-4.99 a pack DAY ONE is just stupid.

Don’t like that Koei Tecmo rarely, if ever, puts their DLC on sale…only once when DW8CE went on sale via Steam.

I think the only time I’ve seen their Dlc for sale was when Gundam Reborn + the DLC/expansion were dirt cheap like 3 weeks ago. Other than that all they do is make bundles.

It’s alright.

More of an Arpg than a musou game. Hell it plays a lot like KH1, tbh.
Theres a strong and weak attack, each character gets 3-4 magic spells to use, theres a high tension mode that makes you invulnerable and lets use spam magic for a few seconds, then you unleash a strong attack. Each characters combos are different, nice amount of characters that span from all the games, or at least most of them, so theres quite a bit of fan service.

If you really like DQ then you should prob get it, if not, just wait for it to go down in price.

How do you guys balance out Musou games? I know they all be PACKED with shit to do. I put some decent time in DW Next as it was one of the first Vita games I got. And I still touch Hyrule Warriors from time to time. i also got Pirate Warriors 2 and Gundam Reborn, but like damn. I wanna redownload Gundam but there’s just like too much to do and I got backlog. And I also want to get Musou game on the go since I deleted DW Next due to it getting boring from no change in mission objectives and the touch screen shit started to get on my nerves.

But IF i were to get a Musou on my vita what should I get, i was thinking probably Samurai Warriors 4-2 as it’d be my first SW game

I just play one at a time until you find yourself done with it. A musou lasts me a few months before I move on to the next one.
