Figures. Appreciate the Baek tips man.
As for Steve, I didn’t expect much considering he’s one of the fastest and overall best character in the game.
Blahhh.

Also with Baek when he’s in FLA, I think the only thing he has that crushes highs in his d/b+4 sweep. So if you’re expecting it, b+4,2,1 does A LOT of damage on CH. Not sure but if you block it, you might be able to cc into d/f+2 for a launch.
Baek is also SS bait. His tracking is better in BR but he can still be stepped.
Why do cc into df2? Just do ws2 for the launch. And yea for steve I cant help you much. My advice is to wait till they use something unsafe and qcf2 into a combo. Or dash df2, Whichever one you get out faster.
I think his staple off d/f+2 leaves you with more damage and better options. You can try the same combo off ws+2 but landing 4,1 has funky timing, so for consistency you opt for f+2,4 ff+2 B! into whatever.
As for your Steve strats… Really?
What? Its bette rthan nothing. You cant really get in because his b1 is fast, Best you can do is keep a good distance from you to the point where you can WR2 for free damage if it hits, Or qcf2 for a combo. Fighting steve with drag is deadly, Maybe if you have his counters down good you’d have a better chance. But who really uses those :<
Spam ws4/df4 against Steve
^df4 is still dangerous. Trust me, I’ve experienced it T_T. I hate steve…
Why?
^Yea I wondered that too. Thats just adding that extra little range that can get you hit by a b1. I honestly dont know what to do against steve lol.
Yeah, Steve gets annoying ass 112 and b1 from that
Because I wasn’t thinking and can’t land anything else worth a damn against Steve. You may have to play VERY unorthodox against him, including doing random 3+4 (TECH THAT SHIT WHEN HE LANDS) and hope he doesn’t B! you with ff2 so you can catch him off guard with…whatever.
Don’t spam slide either (qcf+3). Good god, don’t spam that.
…
unorthadox = random?
You cant be too random with drag, It just doesnt work like that.
You can be random with any character from any fighting game.
Or are you saying you can’t be random against Steve? Of course not, anyone good will own you free. You can’t be random in this game and expect to go far period.
Learn to break throws. Steves lows arent threatening enough to make you duck. Steve has insane mids, fast pokes, brutal juggles and hard hitting on EVERYTHING. His lows arent hot though. His only unsee able low (from what I remember) is db+3,2 which he has to be point blank.
Also, if you want steve to stop bum rushing you, throw out a b+3+4 every now and then. Auto punch parry move. This got a LOT of steves off me in DR.
I honestly think that move is trash. You might as well just counter instead. You’re taking a big risk throwing that out, it’s mad slow, plus it’s high. Can you get anything other than d+4,1,3 off it?

The combo at 1:40.
After the df + 3, is he able to pick him up with 3, 1 because he’s trying to roll back?
Yeah it’s called a reset.
O_o? He’s just doing an instant while standing 4. I do it all the time after a wr2. Its such a sexy way to set up a combo if I might add.
Edit:Oh I misread. Yea thats a reset, Though iWS4 combos are sexy either way.
Yeah I think Drag has a 50/50 post B!. If you do d/f+3, they can’t tech. You can either stomp them or if they roll back 3,1 will pick them up for a reset. Not sure if they side roll or even if they can. Maybe iWS+4 or d+2 will pick them up for a reset as well.
I dont think d2 will if they roll back, And you’d have to dash after the ws4 to catch them unless they are like jack or kuma.
