I bought it used (egg on my face) and it worked just fine for about a year, until I noticed that i couldn’t input “down-back” with the joysick. Used it in SSF4 practice mode with the inputs displayed and could get down and back just fine, just not “down-back.” No crouch blocking for me. Does anyone know if swapping out the joystick lever will fix this issue?
Try switching out the down or back microswitch on the stick or replacing that PCB piece entirely.
Clean everything first. More often than not, it’s not faulty parts that’s the problem, just accumulation of dirt.
Open it up and take pictures of the PCB assembly.
I took it apart and dusted it, tightening all the wires and it seems to be working! Thanks for the tips! I also have a TE S for xbox (also bought used, but for pretty cheap) which i’m pretty sure is a lemon. I don’t currently have an xbox360; i only bought the stick to use in xbox tourneys. The first time i take it to a tourney though, the “X” didn’t even light up. Didn’t register at all. The day i bought it, I plugged it into my ps3 like a dork- thinking the detachable usb was some kind of converter and the light came on then…please tell me i didn’t fry something!
