Does a chargeless liberation have any invincibility? But yea I guess your right, I wasn’t thinking about it the right way, I just assumed a chargeless liberation was pure ass. I can imagine how nice it will feel hitting a character like storm with a lvl 3 POTC “oh what’s the matter can’t fly, too bad! Now eat this delicious projectile”.

If 0D:0C is a good “get off me”, it can still be a nice assist since Dormammu’s other two assists have slow startup. Especially since we found out (apparently) that Purification isn’t tracking like Blackheart’s Inferno; it’s always the weak version according to Keits. We’ll see.
As far as using the charged assists, you could start your fight like this and it might work:
- Floating Bomb immediately.
- Charge hand 3x for Stigma (0D:3C).
- Swap in a rushdown character.
Whether that’s all possible while being safe, or whether it’s worth someone’s time, is unknown. If Dormammu’s DHC with Liberation is Floating Bomb, you could DHC him in after getting two meters and repeat it. Serious theorycraft there.
I haven’t seen a single video demonstrating that it has invincibility frames on assist, which is the #1 consideration for that sort of thing. Magneto’s Force Field has some, though.
Is stigma blockable or unblockable?
If Magneto’s does, I think we can expect his to. both function the same way. But the startup for it is quick as all get out.
That’s one of the things I’d like to find out regarding the current build (in TGS it was unblockable), as well as whether it OTGs.
Depends if capcom wants us to keep a charge or not. If yes, then expect 0D0C to be pretty crappy. I’d be a bit surprised if it was an invincible reversal.
Well done OP on the format of your post. Every other MvC3 char thread that isn’t using this format is failing.
You know, the more I think about it the more interesting assist Liberation is. It’s not spammable like, say, doom rocks but any 2- or 3-charge Liberation is gonna be a monster. I really have no idea how good it is.
It makes me sad this amazing character is getting nerfs and the game isn’t even released yet.

oh as for assist i think his purifications is the best Imo, as for Liberation as an assist if its a good Get off me move, it will be coo but if not then working for chrages and what not will be too much work, that could be applied else where in my imo.

This is a thread i will be checking for sure when release day comes. Dormammu is definitely a character i am looking forwards to play as.
Preppy asked me to make the title smaller or put Dormmy’s name first. I decided it would look weird to have the quote second, so I just made the thread title basic.
I doubt it. Assists have been seriously toned down in this game. Someone before mentioned to me that Captain Corridor was essentially split into two assists: Dante’s Jam Session for the height, and Viper’s Seismic Pound for the immediacy. MvC2 assists were just too powerful, and created the deadly “assist character” situation. Capcom wants to avoid that this time.

Hopefully floating Bomb isn’t touched, thats what makes Dormammu for me gameplay wise.
