kai is to good. 1st episode was trippin. “im smarter than the east coast” lol.
Coyoteglove.
Whoops. My bad. Fixed.
- James
Man, Kai is fucking sick in this one, too good!
GG Vic, great episode, can’t wait to see what the Art Department is about to bring out!
I hate this show. It’s excellent for about ten minutes, then stops abruptly. Then there’s a trailer at the end with stuff like “the coyote exploded” that leaves me wanting more for a week.
Keep it up!
This week is all about fashion! Eye patches, mud bikinis, and black cloaks and sickles (is… is that… Godface?).
The Dogface Show - Episode 04, Part 3
Join Vic, Paul, and Kai (and Vic’s friend, The Fly) for the last episode of the Dogface Show before Evo 2009!
- James
These episodes are too good. Please get Dogface to do commentary at Evo. Shit is golden.
Another great episode!
The Art Department is God-Tier imo.
what is third strike? a miserable little pile of guess parries!
What?s keeping you guys from getting the show on iTunes? Ditch the copyrighted clips and music, and you?re set. If there?s a subscription feature on iTunes, I?d be more than happy to fork over the money. Either way, I probably will, as this show is too entertaining to lose. It can be cumbersome to go through your growing list of YouTube subscription updates on a regular basis, if you have a lot of subscriptions like I do.
Also consider cross-posting or converting the blog to a Tumblr site?which is free, albeit without a good archive feature; though it should be easy to make a manual archive with each episode, for instance by tagging them. Their ?Reblog? feature also greatly increases the chances of people getting the word around.
I would also suggest considering replacing your current comments system with Disqus. Might draw in more people.
A Twitter profile for announcing new episodes?as well as other concepts?would also be a boon. You can link to both the YouTube videos as well as the iTunes downloads that way.
Keep it coming regardless! It?s a gold mine of entertainment. I don?t know if I love The Dogface Show because I?m psyched about SFIV, or if it?s the other way around.
Kiwi,
That’s *great *advice and we’ve actually been looking into itunes and whatnot for a while. Hopefully after EVO, when we have some time, we can take steps like those to make the show more accesible to the fans. Thanks again for the suggestions:)
BTW, where exactly is “Euroland?”
Any chance of getting east coast players in on this, especially with Evo comming up?
Glad to hear it.
?Euroland? was me being funny about coming from ?Europe?, but, embarrassingly, it would appear that I?ve used the actual term ?Euroland? too loosely as it only refers to the European countries with the euro currency?which is not used where I live, although it is part of the European Union. D’oh.
At least now we both know?although you won?t see me using it for my location again.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention Ping.fm, now that I had already mentioned branching out to various social media services. It provides you a centralized place to publish your content?all at the same time.
There?s also ShareThis or AddThis for the shameless self-promotion to make it easier for visitors to spread the word. I think ShareThis is the best of the two, but I haven?t used any of them recently.
Any new episodes coming out? Its been a while…
Still waiting for the ep of when they’re at evo.
Let’s hope that’s out soon.
Hey Vic, when is the EVO episode coming out?
It was posted in the other thread but the computer with all of the footage crapped out and they’re trying to retrieve everything still.
Oh, thanks, that sucks.
This episode was filmed at Evolution 2009 right after the Street Fighter IV 5 on 5 event on Saturday night, where Team Wildcard threw a wrench in the plans of the other more favored teams. Featuring a team of perceived low-tier characters, they were lead by none other than Scott “Sabre” Bender, who proceeded to dominate top tier players with his surprising mixups and shenanigans with Sakura.
Right after this impressive performance, Victor “Dogface” Ratliff joined his long time friend Sabre and did an impromptu Dogface Show interview with Mr. Bender. All of the footage, however, was lost due to a hard drive that died. Fortunately, a rough draft that was made of the interview survived, and that is what you see here today. This is all that is left of the footage, so we apologize for its overall crudeness, but we hope you nevertheless enjoy the content.
