Emma’s cute but Disney trying to market their iconic villains into solo live action anti heroes or whatever seems weird for me who grew up with them being straight up evil cartoons.
I blame Disney kids stuff like the Descendents and High School Musical

Yeah this isn’t something like Magneto or Doom who can be sympathetic with a compelling backstory.
Most Disney villains are straight up malevolent.
Also ,I don’t know if Stone can pull off a more evil character. I don’t believe she’s ever played any sort of villain in a movie.
