Hard to say. Even though I like Disney, I don’t like giving up money for something like this. This just helps pad the viewer base for a few years.
My plan is just to wait till they put the platform out and bundle Hulu with it.

I think you can get the basic free membership and qualify, but after reading into it a bit more, it seems like it could take up to 12 hours for the link to the deal appear on your membership page. You’d have to pay up front for 3 years, too, like$140.
I’m probably just gonna chill on it.
I did it. I planned on getting Disney+ from day one. I’m set for three years which is great. Now I have to hope there’s no launch issues.
I kinda wish I had taken advantage of it. I figured the deal would be only for a basic version of the service that doesn’t include 4K/HDR streaming. Upon looking into today I realized that, unlike Netflix, there are no tiers to service plans and that you’ll be able to stream whatever quality you want without having to pay extra.
Fucking hell, even for $7 a month that’s an INCREDIBLE value! Kinda wish I hadn’t slept on the promotional deal
But none of the marvel shows start in November on launch right?
They all seem to start 2020/2021
Nope. The first Marvel show won’t hit the service until late 2020.
Even though I’m already opted in for 3 years I’m hoping I can still do the bundle with Hulu. I already have an existing sub so why not.
I’m eventually waiting on the bundle as well…
Yeah, but STAR WARS.
No joke, the TV show looks better than episode 9.
I ain’t going there, lol, but yeah, it looks AWESOME.
This very loosely lays out Disney+’s release schedule from launch until late 2021. Obvi there is going to be more content and firmer release dates announced as time goes on
What I’m curious about is how long will it take for a recent movie to hit Disney+. According to that article all their releases from the first half of the year will be there when it launches. I wonder how long do I have to wait for say Frozen 2 to hit the service.
Probably the same amount of type for when the blu ray sales go up.
Wasn’t the Muppet show suppose to launch with the service?
I don’t remember. Either at launch or shortly after.
Edit: it was supposed to air at some point in 2020
Odds are really good that Disney wanted a show for children and Muppets people went “Eh…Sesame Street is for kids, muppets has always been a bit older.”
Oh well.
That’s really too bad- Muppets are awesome.
Should’ve rebooted Muppet Babies for the kiddos.
They actually did last year.
