The issue is that there’s no good way to prevent people from doing it. I agree that it should be removed, but until it’s patched out, it’s not something that is possible to “referee” in the game.
It’s unfair, because you got beat by it then spent no time learning how to improve your defense to not get hit by that char, and rather you complained and think it should be tourney banned.
There are touch of death combos that don’t even require dhc’s or xfactor, so to complain about the glitch is honestly scrubby. Improve your defense, and when you do get hit by the glitch then it is completely 100% your fault and now that char is dead. Learn to deal with it.
In this game if a well constructed team touches you DHC glitch or not they’re going to kill you off one hit, the DHC glitch just makes it so a wider variety of characters have that option without combo video stuff being necessary. I agree with Honzo.
It’d be great if she actually had that assist.

Hey, it turns out DHCing from She-Hulk doesn’t net you the damage scaling reset. So far I’ve tested this with Wesker and Phoenix but I suspect it’s the case for pretty much everyone.
I’ve gotten it with both Taking out the Trash and Road Rage. Are you hitting them once before you land it?
I cannot let them get away with this.
It bothers me because the fighting game community would rather exploit a broken mechanic or a character to get their win by any means necessary rather than actual game balance and winning with their chosen team of choice. Lots of people complain about the patch and now, we haven’t heard a peep from Capcom about any more patches. People got what they wanted. I can’t believe Capcom listened to them.
Honestly, I have a hard time doing it from ToT as well…maybe I just don’t know where the timing is?
I’m pretty sure they’re using those characters because they want to. You act like people are just going “OMG DHC GLITCH MUST USE X CHARACTER OR I WILL NEVER WIN” because that’s just retarded and not true.
There’s a huge difference between holding the opinion that the DHC glitch should be banned vs holding the opinion that it should be patched. If you complain about people using it right now, you’re a whiner who needs to suck it up and learn to deal with it for the time being. That does not mean that the DHC glitch is a “good” thing, or that it’s not something that should probably be patched out because it’s warping the game’s balance in very un-fun ways. It means that if you’re in a tournament setting, people are going to play to win. And part of winning is maximizing your opportunities to inflict damage. Because of that, the ability to one-touch kill your opponent is something players WILL take advantage of, to maximize damage output and minimize the chance that they’ll mess up further down the line in the match.
How much advance notice was there on the Sentinel patch? Zero. They’re bad at the communication thing. Don’t read into it either way.
Don’t player-hate. They’re playing to win, and will play the team they think gives them the best chance of doing that.
It could be that Capcom has a new patch done already, but are waiting for PSN to come back up because they want the two versions to be the same.
Did you not read my post? 80% can use the DHC trick either going in or out. 80%! That’s way more character variety that marvel 2.

Yeah. I do whatever BnB and when I go for the OTG Torpedo, instead of cancelling into the Rekkas I go for the reset. When I DHC to Wesker he still gets scaled damage.
Your whole arguement is based around the fact that the dhc glitch is broken. By that logic any team that can use the dhc glitch beats every team that can’t or doesn’t use the dhc glitch. Because a broken means it literally breaks the game to the point of it being unplayable.
A very often used example is ST akuma, he is a broken character because if you know what your doing you can kill the opponent without them ever having a chance to win. He was therefore banned.
What your argument is implying that a mechanic that allows a team to expend two meters (while gaining meter) to kill one character is broken to the point that it should be the only tactic used, because every other team that doesn’t use the glitch will lose 99% of the matches, because its so good it can’t be ignored.
Now if you don’t see the fallacy in your argument you think like a scrub, and therefore are a scrub. I suggest you go read some domination 101 articles to cure yourself of your scrubby ideology.
