The definitive guide of Warzard

I made a quick search, and eventually I did not find any particular faq about this game. The only result is that people asking for a piece of information about Warzard.

[Capcom Fighting Jam] introduced a few Warzard characters, and yet, some people in U.S still think they are practically a whole new cast to the game. Well it’s not! Some people still don’t know what this game is all about, do they? Who are these characters? What’s this game all about?

Now before Capcom Fighting Jam hits the consoles [even it is now available on arcade], then I’ll tell you one thing, there’s a good reason to get prepared for it!

This is the definitive guide of Warzard.

Just keep in mind that I only tell you, what I know. So stop whining about incorrect information! Mostly of them are correct, so respect it!

As for today, you’ll find a little of everything about Leo - including spoilers, pictures. This is just a basic information about the game for those who don’t know anything about Warzard.

STORY

Basically, the game plays somewhere on Earth, in 1999 [wtf?!]. It is an altered earth, where countries restrained each other, as they were in lull. One engimatic country has risen. Mystic monsters of the country are leading the world into the doomsday.

Here is a map of Warzard

CHARACTERS

First of all, Lets start with LEO.

LEO

Voice Actor: Unknown

Titles:
Level 1 - SOLDIER
Level 3 - SWORDMAN
Level 6 - FIGHTER
Level 10 - REVENGER
Level 14 - VICTOR
Level 19 - WARRIOR
Level 25 - HERO
Level 32 - WARLORD

Password: 41416 64453
41416 64443: This will change Leo’s arms.

He is your main character, a lion-headed beast with some pretty awesome sword skills, as he’s really buff and clearly the powerhouse of the game. I suggest you use him when playing Warzard for the first time.

STORY OF LEO [Part-1]: In the beginning of the story, Leo is actually a human. For some reason, he is turned into a Lion-Human beast like warrior to save the earth. Leo is making his first progress…

Leo’s first opponent is Hauzer.

Hauzer Appears!

After Leo defeats Hauzer, these weird dudes will appear front of him.

Honestly, I don’t know what they talking about but I imagine that Leo is following their orders. Lets keep moving…

Leo’s second opponent is Kongou.

At first, it’s a big fat guy named “Tanuma” laughing at you and turn’s himself into a giant ugly beast, Kongou.

Leo defeats Kongou.

[Cutscene]

After the defeat of Kongou, you will see these cutscene’s. Yes! It’s blade!

More to come soon! :badboy:

I think the game was originally called Red Earth. Try that in your search.

EDIT:
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=9291

Pinoy: Red Earth is the American name. Warzard is the japanese name. There’s some changes in the name of some characters. Mukuro is Kenji in Red Earth. Nool is Hydron in Red Earth.

Kenji: Known as Mukuro in Japan
Tessa: Known as Tabasa in Japan
Mai-Ling: Known as Tao in Japan “she’s only fourteen.”

That’s the heros, now the eight bosses:

Blade: A big robotic type on enemy with blades and cannons.

Gigi: An Aztec statue.

Hauzer: A bizarre Tyrannosaurus creature with bird parts.

Hydron: Known as Nool in Japan. It seems like a squid or octopus creature.

Kongou: A really big ugly creature.

Lavia: Known as Luan in Japan, she’s a Harpy, and the only female boss.

Ravange: Known as Secmeto in Japan.

Valdoll: I think he is a mage, and perhaps the boss of the game.

Is this game any good, I’ve never tried it and I always wanted to…

same here

the closest thing for me was seeing screenshots from Japanese magazines…

i heard they still level up in the game, can someone explain that here?

Ultimate Guard will block special attack without reducing blood .
It will block multi attacks , but its disadvantages are :

After Ultimate Guard is exexcuted and no attack is recieve ,
during a short period , the character is left open for any attacks .
However this opearation is a must learn to defeat the CPU !!

I still have that “All about Warzard” Strategy Guide I bought a while back

Its a guide that shows

Color pics of all their moves, supers, magic, all with Hit Boxes, including bosses ( all bosses special moves )

Its 271 pages of Warzard

The problem is that I don’t have a scanner, so I can’t scan the images for everyone to share.

I’ll try to get one and scan some in time.

Spam! :badboy:

This “definitive” guide seems to be a “stuff you could find on gamefaqs or any similar video game website” guide. Character names and the basic move engine.

But, but, he said it WAS DEFINITIVE!!!

It is defined!

i went, I checked… I got EXACTLY the stuff that gill just spewed out… lol

db.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/warzard.txt

Pathetic son, and you figure out that in one day? Well, congratulations with your simply long-awaited stuff you got, its already been posted here my son.

Tell me, did you find any specific details on Leo’s levels, password, story on any other sites? I don’t think so sonny.

First, sometimes it feels like nobody wants to hear whats on your mind, so stop struggle yourself and litsen to your GOD. For real, you can’t get faqs like that unless you played the game itself.

Here is a ending scene of Tessa [Tabasa].

I would think the “definitive” guide would come out with some information on the gameplay that couldn’t just be quickly copied from another website. You know, like, instead of just listing what Leo’s title changes to when he reaches different levels (easily read somewhere, I’m sure), how about explaining what moves he gains as he progresses through those levels and how it affects the way Leo is played. Does he have a move that is his bread and butter but he can’t use it until level 16? And do these things really matter when most of the game is single-player and you’re fighting AI enemies who have historically never been very challenging? Player vs. player is limited to only four characters, so how interesting is it to play against a friend? And isn’t it possible to just get the passwords for the highest levels of the characters so you don’t even have to bother with the whole leveling up system?

I can’t really give you in-deep faqs, but I only tell you what I remember.

Before I argument about the level-up system, let me tell you about the gameplay system. Keep in mind that this game are done differently from other previously street fighter.

First, Leo gets extra moves based on levels. Depending on your points (Score EXP), you will get new moves, gain more power, and earn secret weapons and arms. Of course, it’s not at all easy getting there. Once your character is maxed out to 32, the CPU opponents will adjust their life meter to your level, and they get harder. For example, if you reach to Level 31, the CPU opponents will have two life bars! While at level 1, they only got 1 bar, and its very small at the very beginning. You can almost kick his ass in one slash, but you still suck at that level.

However, it is very fun/crazy to play with Leo on level 32, you get all his moves, and you can also perfrom his 2th MB on level 31.

Yes, when you die on a game, with a level 32, you can save the password with your current level, which will appear at the monitor. Each digit has a specific code. Code appears to be no longer than 1-6. By typing a code, you will have to use it with your buttons.

L Punch - 1
M Punch - 2
H Punch - 3
L Kick - 4
M Kick - 5
H Kick - 6

You can use this password to VS mode and STORY [Quest] mode, with your current level.

You ask that if it interesting to play against a friend? Hmm, well lets see. To make more fun in VS mode, you can use Mukoro and use that move were he rip-off opponents heart and crush it with his bare hands.

Im not sure if every character can perform fatality moves on VS mode, but with CPU opponents, you can slash them to half and looks really awesome.

Depending on your opponents, Mukoro can get four type of hearts.

[not sure if it is correct, there is more that I cant remember]

With Gigi: He rips-off a Stone like crystal.
With Nool: He rips-off a heart with green blood.
With blade, Ravange: He rips-off a green diamond.
With Leo, Tao, Tabasa, Mukoro, Hauzer, Kongou: He rips off a real fresh and bloddy heart. Hell yeah, it splats lots of blood when he crush that heart.

Level system for Leo.

Leo can get special moves, depending on your points. To do so, you have to max your level.

Super moves are called “Mystic Break”, like “Super Arts”. In gameplay, there will be some magic orbs, treasures and all that medieval stuff will appear, which it is your job to collect them all. Slashing your opponents lets you get some points to earn. This will increase your level, and depending on your orbs element (fire, ice, lighting etc.), Leo can perfrom “Mystic Break” with that element.

Like Megaman, opponents have their weakness depending on your elements. You can only have three orbs at the sametime.

With Leo, you begin with Level 1, as a SOLDIER.

He almost have all moves, expect these.

With Level 8, you are able to perfrom the move: QCf+Kick motion.
With Level 20, you are able to perform the move: QCb+Kick motion.
With Level 31, you can now perfrom his second “Mystic Break”.

Leo’s secret weapons.

This is something that will effect on Leo’s weapons. In the beginning, he got that dirty sword, and also silver sword when he max’s up a bit.

There are currently three secret weapons for Leo. One with fire Sword, Ice Sword and Lighting Sword, which is effective against ceartin opponents. To get these weapons do the following:

  1. You have to be at Level 16.

  2. Your third opponent Ravange (Secmeto) must be defeated within 80 counts of the timer, before timer reaches to 120.

  3. Now, depending on your “Mystic Magic”, you can get the following weapons by finishing him with.

If you finish him with “Fire Mystic Magic”, you get the Fire Sword.

If you finish him with “Ice Mystic Magic”, you get the Ice Sword.

If you finish him with “Lighting Mystic Magic”, you get the Lighting Sword.

When you break the statue in the Bonus game, you’ll find your sword there.

I hope this can help you my son.

Would anyone here know why Warzard/Red Earth wasn’t released on console? Capcom would probably get make more of a profit if they put on console than the ever did when it was in the arcades.
