Demons souls isn’t that hard, don’t let people talk you out of it. It’s actually pretty stupidly easy. The kicker about it is that if you don’t know where things are, you’re probably going to run into one of those “oh shit moments” and eat the dirt, once you know where things are this isn’t a problem and the game is largely a joke.
The thing is, that’s just how every NES, SNES, and Genesis game was. The placement of things was just designed to make you hate life, but if you knew what was there it’s easy. And if you died it was back to the start with you. If you didn’t grow up on those sort of games, yeah it seems hard since every game since the PS1 era is mostly “push start button to start movie and click buttons till the end” but if you’ve played some of the older games, it follows the same logic. You just need to approach as if it was a NES or SNES game, take your time, and accept that you’re going to die a few times figuring out just what the hell it is they want you to do.
Also the build you pick is going to have a massive impact on how you do, and this is the games main fault. It doesn’t specify really how the stats help you or where to go (again, old games didn’t do that either), so you can get caught in the trap of building a character that just isn’t fully valid, and the game doesn’t specify that “hey dumbass, you can cheat most of the most dangerous things with arrows and never die”, but once you figure that out things are simple.
I died like crazy for the first five or so hours and then walked through the game with ease, and clobber it several times after on game+. I used a pure dex dual katana build, backed up with a fuck ton of arrows and light armour, what I couldn’t backstab/reposte/slash kill in two or three reps, I just shot down. It ended up hard to be hit after a bit.
The bosses are assholes yes, but they are also dumb as a rock. They’ll kill you quick but if you figure out their trick odds are they aren’t going to do much.
i saw most of pool b. was scared for team solo mid for a second there getting raped by a morde and brand, but they bounced back to take 1st. cant wait for tomorrow. not gonna be up @ 5 am but like you said we can vod it.
watching “high level” LoL is so boring, I’m in awe that dreamhack had so many viewers, but 90% of LoL is played by the dumbest sheep capable of operating a computer, so I’m sure they all had their eyes 2 inches from the monitor, soaking in all the “top tier” strategies. Hey, maybe people will start dropping wards now!
