Life is STILL good
It’s been a long-ass weekend. Had its share of disappointments and gains. I took two long trips, just got back in the house from my second one.
I took a long 2.5 hour drive to the nearest import game store so I could get a flip-top mod and Swap Magic boot discs for my PS2 so I could play my Japanese Guilty Gear XX #Reload. I bought a green, see through case, along with a copy of Katamari Damacy. As soon as I got home I was so convinced that I could put the damn thing together myself. Boy was I wrong. I was getting stuck at reassembling the CD drive, and I told myself, “Don’t go any further. You’ll have to take another trip and pass off the torch to them, and it’s 3 AM and you’re going out of your mind.”
The next morning (which is today), I took another drive up to Starland (that’s the name of the place). The guy that worked there got my PS2 back together while I was playing Megaman 7 on MMAC cause that was on the PS2 Demo setup and I had to do something to pass the time. But somehow this yielded great disappointment. Just so happens, Swap Magic DVD 2.0 wouldn’t play my GGXX #Reload! But the guy was cool though. He told me to leave the boot discs there and he would hook me up by mailing the latest version of the boot disc when they get more in, cuz he knew I lived far away. On a lighter note, I bought Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2, my first Gamecube import. At least I got my PS2 back up and running with a brand new loud green look that really sticks out like a sore thumb and can play some Katamari Damacy.
Man I’m tired as fuck. I’m practically dozing off as I’m typing this post.
Started playing Mercenaris(xbox)…Its kinda like GTA with military and you get to blow up all kinds of shit…not too shabby ! :tup:

wow in two days i beat CFE i dont know why but in my opinion its not half bad and i borrowed it if you want to know. my Team is Urien and Ryu man fucking Demitri is pissing me off.
You know, I’ve actually been thinking about picking up CFE. I know it isn’t one of Capcom’s better fighters but it has enough to intrigue me and after playing Dark Stalkers 3 on PS1, those characters have definitily gotten my attention. Also, I hear there are some characters from a fighting series that never came to America if I’m not mistaken.
I’m still playing MvC2 for DC but I plan to get back into GTA: SA and maybe DBZ: B3. Also, gonna check out GGX tonight.
Currently on my second playthrough of RE4 and I’m still in love with it. I just bought the Chicago Typewriter. :tup:
Oh, and does anyone know if collecting bottlecaps rewards you with anything?
Maple Story. Still. Level 27 mage right now, looking forward to class change. I’ve also been finding level 35 equipment from monster drops at least once a day which is kinda odd/pleasant.

Beat KOTOR2. The ending was ok. Overall the game was great but not classic like the first one. Lucas Arts did a bad job IMO when they produced this game. They didn’t improve the graphics engine at all, which was the biggest problem with the last game. The xbox can do much more graphically. Good game but still a lazy release IMO.
Hey, X-Death, on Technic Beat (glad you like it BTW), how are you doing on the harder songs? I did this one song that was only two stars and I quickly began to suck at it. :tdown:
Beat Star Fox Adventures. Pretty fun. And Krystal’s definitely made my list of cutest VG girls, though she’s still under Claire Redfield and Felicia.
Started in on RE4 a couple days ago. Just made it past the part where you have to defend Ashley as she turns those cranks up on the ledges. That room pissed me off more than a VG has in quite a long time. This game has gotten rediculously hard already, and I’m still on disc 1! I really like how this RE is something fresh, yet still remains true to the core of the older games. And I love the new free-aim feature, and the weapon tune-up thing. But like I said, this game has gotten stupidly hard, to the point where a few parts aren’t even fun. But all in all, I’ve been liking this game. Del Lago and the first fight with an El Gigante (where the dog helps you) were bad-ass bosses.
I can usually beat the two stars no problem, but most of the three stars look way out of my league. Its strange because you have to bring the notes with you so you don’t miss any, and my brain just can’t register that yet. Also, try switching the camera to get an overhead view. I was missing tons of shit because I couldn’t see the notes on the far side.

is star ocean 3 any good? someone convince me to buy it. why should i get that game.
Mercenaries is on my list of games to get…my friend got it recently, and we were playing that a few days ago.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath looks incredible!!! I’m only just now seeing it in action after “acquiring” a certain Xbox demo disc! The game didn’t jump out to me when I just saw the pictures in magazines…seeing it in motion is something else entirely…I MUST have it. :wow: I’ve never even had an Oddworld game before…but this one looks spectacular(I do realize that in terms of gameplay it’s quite a departure from the normal style of the series) …that trailer was the hotness.
I was excited about the new Timesplitters Future Perfect…until I scanned one of the gamefaqs messageboards…and realized…you can’t JUMP?! What the hell? I thought that became a standard in FPS games a LONG time ago? There’s no excuse for not being able to jump in a FPS game today in 2005. I had that Rogue Agent game on my Christmas list, and thankfully mom didn’t get that, as I found out AFTER christmas that you can’t jump in that game either. What are they thinking? You can’t go backwards…it’s almost like if one of the next gen consoles went back to only having 2 buttons, rather than 4 or 6 on the face + triggers and analog sticks. Why would a company go backwards and make a new FPS series with no jump?
DESTROY ALL HUMANS <<<trying to get the word out, since this game is so low under the radar. I went to the gfaqs board recently, and there’s FIVE topics there. Oh yeah, that’s on the xbox Demo too…and it looks awesome. This has potential to be one of my favorite games ever. All the stuff is there that I want, basically (short of character creation, which is something I’d like having in every game)…so the final test to pass is that the gameplay is good. If the gameplay is right, this is instantly one of the greatest games ever made, imo.

Technic Beat-I forgot you could change the camera angles. I’m surprised you were having trouble on 3 star songs X-Death. Not rubbing it in or anything but some of those songs can get up to 7 stars. :wow:
I played Guilty Gear X last night for the first time. Fun game.My fav fighter so far is Sol. Dude just has awesome starts, a killer anti-air and the way you can link his moves is just cool. I love the Romance Cancel option. Do a combo and just stop right in the middle of it.
Been playing Need for Speed Underground 2, with some friends of mine in the barracks. Gonna play the one-player game(when I get on this stupid CQ shift which is probably tonite) and get some cars so I can play on xbl later. What a fun game.
Yeah, CT owns all in that game.

Chainsaw guys? Dead. Regenerating bastards that you normally have to use a rifle for? Dead. Salazar? DEAD. That gun is too damn cheap, that and the Infinite Launcher make Leon godly.
Yeah, I really want to get that game. I was going to get it this week, but then the gas bill ended up being more than twice what I expected, so I wasn’t able to. And next paycheck is Starfox Assualt, so I won’t be getting it any time soon. :sad:
Maybe when it goes down to $30.
In other news, RE4 has continued to be ungodly hard. I made it past some invisible bugs in the sewers, and a part where you had to snipe this one monk down before he reached a chaingun. I’m now at a hedgemaze, where wierd-ass dogs with tentacles on their backs try to eat you.
Winback 2nd Operation revealed
Anyone ever play the first Winback? It was on the N64 and PS2, I loved this game back in the day. It was a bit difficult at times with the laser trip wires, but it is was one of my most memorable experiences on N64.

RE4: we just finished the Salazar family annex portion. and just fought the two gigantes in the magma area. and yea those invisible bugs are a pain the ass. But the ones later in the game dont do the invisibility shit. But they do swarm.
Just started Beyond good and Evil: just got into the first hour of it, and I really like this game.
