WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Over 1000 posts in this baby! I’d like to thank everyone who posted in this thread, even if it was just a tid bit of what game you were playing. This is by far my most successful thread on any forum. I’ve always wanted to have a thread that spawned tons of pages and thanks to you all, I’ve done it. In these past 6 months, the SRK forums have become my favorite forums on the net. You guys rock.
Well the little speach is outta the way so…
Well I’m 12 plus hours into DBZ: Buu’s Fury. I can’t speak enough of how much the music kicks booty in this game. Million was it you that said you were a big fan of the American DBZ soundtrack? If so, I highly recommend getting Buu’s Fury. The combat is repetitive but the game is still fun. It’d be worth a purchase for the music alone. But um, anyway. I have 6 of the 7 Dragon Balls collected and I’m playing as Goten and Trunks. They were flying together and having a convo when they dropped the Dragon Radar. :wow: I was thinking “You IDIOTS!! Now I gotta get the dumb thing fixed!!” Thankfully the radar is fine and it was just a play-in to finding the final Dragon Ball. I can’t wait to get to the fight where I get to play as SS3 Goku against Fat Buu. Not only that but Babidi will DIE!!! I was so happy when Buu killed that annoying pest.
I’ve continued playing Metroid Fusion on my GBAsp. For the most part, I’ve been enjoying the game, even if the premise is ass-tastic. I just defeated and chased off that security drone after getting my Super Missiles.
The one thing that really bugs me about Fusion’s gameplay is the way that the computer will give you a map and a location to get to on it, but then you have to spend 15 minutes looking for some hidden path that isn’t marked on the map.
And seriously, any of you Metroid fans out there:
Is Zero Mission different enough from original Metroid to be worth playing?
Well, Remy, I love Metroid games but I haven’t played Zero Mission yet. From what I hear there are a few new features in the game but unlike Fusion, it is very light on bosses. The game is around 6 hours long but even though it’s basically a remake of the original NES Metroid, I’d still pick it up.
LAst night I was playing Buu’s Fury and I ran into what the villagers described as a monster. At first I thought it was Cell but when I saw the being they were so afraid of I was like “OH SNAP!!” It turned out to be Broly and the dude was huge. Using Goten in SS form, I easily mopped the floor with him. I had Goten and Trunks so high in their levels that Broly was child’s play. Don’t know what Iw as afraid off. Later in the night the worst thing happend to me. I was in the middle of saving my game when THE BATTERIES DIED!!! :wow: So when I turned my game back on, my file was gone. 14+ hours LOST! No worries, though because I’m nearly back to where I was before in far less time.
eh, I don’t know about Buu’s Fury. It’s like the Legacy of Goku-styled DBZ games right? For some reason those dbz games really aren’t grabbing my attention…I think it’s mostly because it just follows the story, so we know what’s going to happen. American dub music is tempting though…I’m probably 1 of the 7 people who actually bought 2 of the CDs! Sadly, when I went back for the others…they were gone, and haven’t re-appeared. They’re just gone forever  (*I’ll just dump the sound right from the shows onto my computer one day…I got the old theme for whenever Vegeta and Nappa usually showed up this way.)
*just now reading your latest post…Broly?!? So this obviously doesn’t follow the story that closely then?
-still playing Viewtiful Joe about as much as when I first got the game.
-perhaps I should actually play Zelda:Wind Waker . hahah…I’ve had that game since the release date, and I haven’t gone beyond the first castle area where “Link” is looking for his sword.
-heh, I still haven’t gotten far in Prince of Persia either…and I’ve also had that since around the time it came out.
Part of the reason I’m so behind on those games is Phantasy Star Online. You just cannot escape it’s grasp…it’s like the pull of a black hole. I’ll pro’ly get back to it soon since my best friend and his wife are back at it again with their characters. She’s about 89 now with her highest character…so she could finally play Ultimate with us next time.
*edit—I saw Cel Damage(GC) today for 20 bucks at a music/games/movies store. I may pick it up next time…there’s no rush, really…NOBODY even goes to that part of the store. I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw spiderwebs over in that corner one day.
If Capcom would just put a “Custom Hero” mode for a Viewtiful Joe game though…it would instantly be the greatest videogame of all time. Fact.
im playing gungrave od.this shit is freakin crazy, theres crap and people flying and dieing all over the place.im also playing #r.online play has left me kinda dissapointed. but theres always offline with friends.
^Well, Million, Buu’s Fury does follow the Buu Saga storyline VERY closely. As a matter of fact, it’s like you’re watching the whole Buu Saga all over again but there are some light differences. For example, instead of Bulma collecting the Dragon Balls, Goten and Trunks collect them. I actually had to beat Broly to get one of the DBs and the idiot wouldn’t stop yelling “Kakarrot!!!” Moron still hasn’t leardn any new words. There’s also some dude named Janemba who has put Other World and Hell into total chaos. Now I’ve heard of Janemba but I’ve never actually seen the dude. Pikkon went down to Hell to check things out and all I saw was the dude’s shadow and in his exact words he said “Ja…nem…ba.” If his shadow was any indication, this dude is pretty freaking huge. :wow: Even Gogeta shows up somewhere in the story from what I’ve read.
Continuing with Metroid, I played some more Fusion and Hard Mode Prime. I seriously don’t understand what’s so much harder about Hard Mode on Prime. It seems exactly the same to me. Fusion just took a turn for the more difficult, as I got up to this spider-thing guarding the reactor core of the space station. It’s kicked my ass four times in a row now. Last time, I finally blew his legs off, but then he started spazzing out and I died again. Next time, though, revenge shall be mine. I took down Meta Ridley on my second try, this upstart spiderling shall not defeat me five times.
If you buy that, let me know what you think. I still fire it up about once a week and play a round or two with my favorite settings.
I’d suggest using the name “PITA” to unlock everything immediately, though. Once all weapons are unlocked and you can turn off personal weapon boxes, I think that the game is a lot more fun. Also, unlocking everything is just time-consuming, I went through it on my buddy’s X-Box version.
Currently in Guadosalam. Hey here’s a question for anyone who’s beat the game with ridiculously broken characters due to all the sphere grids being full, can anyone give me a list of places throughout the whole entire game to build up my characters?
Hey, Remy, I feel your pain on that spider boss in Metroid Fusion. I died MANY times trying to kill that thing but I finally succeeding in bringing it’s demise. In the end, that spider couldn’t screw with me.
In DBZ Buu’s Fury I face Janemba. When I first saw him I was like
"WHAT?!" He looked like some fat pink and yellow blob reject villian. I fought him in that form as Vegeta and won pretty easily. And then he changed into something resmbling a demon. He was a bit tougher after that. Neither Goku or Vegeta could beat him. So I had to do the fusion dance to form…GOGETA!!! “I am neither Goku or Vegeta. I am the instrament of your destruction. I am…GOGETA!!!” Man, playing as Gogeta was so tight!!! He had some awesome attacks that did major damage!! Playing as Gogeta was more than controling Gotenks or Mystic Gohan.
Well Gotenks, Piccolo and Gohan have all been absorbed so now the fate of the world lies on Goku and Vegeta. I went in to battle with base form Goku and one energy blast from Mystic Gohan Guu nearly killed me. So I decided to level up both Goku and Vegeta. Looks like I could be in for a serious fight. :wow:
Your going to want to fight at the monster arena to obtain spheres. Like <insert specific name> Giants at the monster arena will give you HP spheres after you defeat them.
I havent played a traditional rpg in a long time… Star Ocean seems to be getting good reviews. I dont really know if I should get this because I am really picky about the smallest things. Just from looking at some video clips there seems to be really bad voice acting…(I really hope theres a option to turn off the character voices in battle).
bah… I probably wont pick up the game anyway…
(StreetFighter 15th) Hyper Street Fighter 2
I will give the ultimate asspat to whoever can beat the game on the hardest difficulty.
Wanda and the Colossus
Yes folks the creators of ICO… Words can not discribe how much I loved the first game. ICO is probably the most underrated game in the world… very few people know how brilliant this game is.
“Wanda and the Colossus” I mean come on people the name just says it all.
Well I beat Buu’s Fury. Watching the ending sequence was like watching it the anime version oif the show, except it was a 16-bit version of the show with sprites. Once enough energy was gathered, Goku hurled the Spirit Bomb at Buu and just like in the show, he resisted and started pushing it back!! :wow: A wish was made to resore Goku to full strength and once that was done, I had to tap the A and B buttons rapidly in order to throw it at Buu. My right arm was killing me and it took a few minutes to get it right. Thankfully, I was given unlimited time to tap the buttons. All the time I spent playing games, you’d think tapping to buttons rapidly would be a cakewalk. Now I’m going to get back to HSFII and SFIII: 3S
Because it’s worth the hype, imo…copy/pasted from the Fable thread: Fable—the game is TIGHT. blahblahblah*(*watched my friend play thru as a purely evil character…)
Later on, it’s all about the BEZERK magic. It’s beautiful. I was rollin’ with laughter when he came up to the first house in a village…they try to close up the door on him…and “ARRRRGGHHH!!!” BEZERK MODE! He powers up like the HULK and busts through that door like Kool-Aid man! Force-push knocks everyone on their ass, and he begins tearing shit up.
Oh yeah, I MUST have this game. Chojin Seal of Approval . 9.0
(*Point Deduction = sadly, the framerate slows down considerably in certain situations…it begins to look like you’re playing an online game, 56k, with tons of lag…they should’ve fixed this before shipping the final version. I’d pro’ly take off more points for this if I didn’t like the game so much.)
Well I’ve gotten back into HSFII:AE and SFII:3S. I realized that I’m more of a guy who is into the simpler tactics. I like to sweep fighters when their let their guard down and tak advantage of fighters after their shoot fireballs. About HSFII: AE. When you guys play the vs. mode, do you use ST characters most of the time? I’m curious because my bro-in-law always picks ST fighters.
On a side note, I hate having my Super Arts Parried. :lame:
Hey, Million, when was the last time you played DBZ: SW?
It’s been awhile since I’ve played my GBA at all…heh, it’s on the table here right next to my comp…
I was going to play some more Viewtiful Joe or something last night, but I just stayed on the net…I’ll resume my RV Challenge sometime today though…surprisingly, I made it thru the whole sewer part of Stage 2 with Rainbows, but messed up and only got a B or A on the street part.
*that Def Jam fighting game should be out today, but there’s a dilemma — I could play it today if I bought the GC version…however, the GC controller kinda sucks when it comes to fighting games that aren’t Smash Bros. I may TRY to resist until I have an Xbox, and just get that version.
