3s is for scrubs :razzy:
I’m playing GGXX #Reload with a hacked soundtrack on my Xbox.
Viewtiful Joe --The Legend Continues----
I beat the train(2nd part of episode 5) on UV today with Blue, and it was surprisingly easier than I remembered. I died the first time, and breezed through it on the 2nd try. Important thing to remember for any Ps2 fans who are new to the greatness that is VJ— you don’t need to kill all the enemies on this level; it’s a waste of time. Just get the key as quickly as possible and move on to the next car, as there is a time-limite to consider here.
As usual, Alastor was no problem. I remember whooping Alastor’s ass from the very first time I saw him onward, and today was no different. All of his attacks can be seen coming a mile away, except that move where he flies right at you with the sword out if it’s your very first time fighting him. With Blue, it’s even easier since he can just float above certain things that could be a danger to other characters.
Now for the first real taste of Hell in UV mode—The Magnificent 5…a dangerous battle with Fire Leo, on the next episode of Viewtiful Joe. Tune in next time, for what is sure to be a red-hot battle…'til then…tataa!
Come on Capcom! Viewtiful Joe action figures! We need them! Please!
… :xeye: …
<--------------------Scrub here and love it!!
Seriously, I can’t get enough of 3S. Can’t wait to play against you guys online.
Right now I’m watching a SBO 3rd Strike match and I am cracking up in tears the way this Japanese cameraman is going “Ei! Ei! Eiiii!” when he sees a genei-jin.
I put the smack-down on Bogmire and Boolossus in Luigi’s Mansion. Also fun bosses, but they just don’t compare to the first. It was just so fun to pummel that giant baby with beach balls.
I also spent a bit of time in Sonic Battle. Emerl learned some new skills, but none of the ones I’m really wanting still. But at least he got some skill points out of the time.
Oh man. Oh man. I’m loving SFAC. I can’t believe how much I’ve improved at SF. I’ve been able to beat my brother-in-law with just plain ol II characters against his ST characters. I’ve also discovered the joys of Sagat. TIGER! TIGER UPPERCUT!! When you guys play against others in HSFII do you use cheese techniques? My bro-in-law says a win is a win even if it does come from cheesing. It really is amazing how the gameplay of SFII still holds up today. more than 10 years old and I still have fun throwing Hadokens and Dragon Punches.
You pretty much have to be cheap to win in the sf2 games. Catch me on aim some time and we’ll get some ssf2 games going on znet
p.s - you’re still a scrub :arazz::lol:
Znet? That’s legal, right? I mean, the suits at Capcom aren’t going to break in our homes and chop off our thumbs, right? :wow:
Well, its a rom thing. But I would think that the police and shit would have better things to worry about (like those mp3 hooligans)
Erim this is a link to the deleted stuff in Breath of Fire 4, you didn’t really miss anything. Like most things companies censor, there isn’t anything in the scenes that really warranted it. I’m working my way over to the other continent now, this game is great. Anybody that wants an RPG to play should try it.
I just beat 3S with Hugo. Man, that ending was HILARIOUS!!! SPOLIERS All the 3S cast had lost to Hugo so they had to join his wrestling crew, Ryu & Ken included. Even Gill was a part of the team. I couldn’t believe it. END SPOILERS
My bro-in-law still has higher winnings than me in HSFII but I’ve really improved and I’ve learned a few new things today. My Parry skills still need work. Many times I Parry on accident and I can’t even Parry fire balls yet. As for Hugo…I gotta admit, I actually liked playing as him. See, I hated him at first because the AI had beat me when I was playing as Ken. AI Hugo beat me several times. But he’s got some great Super Arts moves. Right nw I’m using Yang for the first time. Dude is teh rockage.
well i’m playing viewtiful joe on ps2. i don’t really like it but i don’t not like it. shrugs
i got dante and almost have silvia. i dunno, the game is too short, the areas are the same pretty much(you repeat some areas), and i’m not feeling the lack of variety in the enemies.
Hulk Davidson was a cool boss, but other than him the others were garbage.
music isn’t noticeable. the plot could have been better. etc. not sure if i want viewtiful joe 2. i need to see how many areas there are, how many different enemies there are going to be, etc.
it feels like this game was a beta. i know i’m in the extreme minority who feels this way about viewtiful joe, but yeah…
Ha, yeah…he has one of the better endings that I’ve seen, Hugo is damn good, he’s one of the few “big guys” that I can play as on a slightly above average level…Gotta love the dash in gigas breaker.
Also, I love the minigames. Beating up the Suv is old skool, and parry-ing the ball is fun, i wish you could play it outside of arcade mode. It would be good training (if it went high and low).
A question though: When you beat the game it says something about Sp points…what are they? Im assuming they were used to unlock stuff in the DC version or something like that. And did anyone else see that ad in the back of the manual for what looked like a SF DnD game? Whats up with that? Sounds fun, but exceptionally nerdish.
Im playing mostly 3S now, but occasionally getting in some Viewtiful joe time in there…That game is tripped out…Im in the submarine place (atleast I think its a submarine, after you fight the shark dude, who took alot of tries to beat) I thought the game became alot harder… The game continues to shock and amaze me…
I thoguht Gill was the only unlockable in 3S. I never played the DC version. If there’s more to unlock that’d be cool.
Yeah, I really like the mini-games of 3S. I love beating on that SUV. And Parrying the ball is fun.
I think I’m addicted to SFAC. I haven’t been able to play anything else for days. Of course then I go back to work tomorrow that will probably change. Guess I play some MM Battle Network or some DBZ: SW. :karate:
The saga continues…Viewtiful Joe…Viewtiful Joe foreva!
Magnificent 5 on UV was frustrating…not because of the actual bosses, but because of some sloppy mistakes on my part in trying to get ALL the film reel things…I wanted to see how much I could get on the way to Leo. The pink box in the background at the Charles fight has a big red film reel thing…and it’s a little frustrating having to depend on the stalactites to try getting the ones near the top of the cave area. Sometimes I would get hit, and just start over…simply because I refuse to ever let Charles the damn 3rd come close to beating ME. That would be shameful.(*on your very first time there…you can beat Charles without even paying attention. He’s the easiest boss in the game.)
So, I destroyed Charley’s punk ass like always, and got all film cannisters there…Hulk took a LONG time as usual, but I got all films there too.(*background box on the right side has another big film reel…yellow or red, I forgot already. There’s burgers there too.)
Gran Bruce—also destroyed with minimal effort, cuz I’m just tight like that. You can’t stop The Captain.
And then we have the M5 version of Another Damn Joe. He’s still one of the most dangerous bastards in the whole game. You could have him in the red on energy…and one mistake…like allowing him to throw those clones out and not properly dealing with all of them in time…that could be the end of you just like that…especially on UV where the damage you take on a hit is rediculous. I died twice(*once by falling too low over the electrified pit…I could do nothing but fall out of hover-mode and die there.) For the first time, really…I noticed that M5 AJ’s Six Machine drops way more bombs…it’s a perfect blanket of missiles coming down! Oh yeah, of course I actually had a lot of VFX by this point, since I was collecting as many of those films as possible.
Leo --whoah, still frustrating after all this time of knowing the pattern. I died one time because Leo just changed up the pattern! How does one deal with the scenario of him just shooting fire over and over…and he hasn’t put any rocks on the ground? It’s REALLY hard to jump through all those fireballs without getting touched. That was bullshit. I ended up dying about 3 more times before beating him.
*sidenote–it’s possible to get more than 5 slow-zoomed punches on him…jump immediately after #5 and flaming kick over to him…going into another slow-zoomed punch session. The margin for error on this seems to be rediculously slim, but you can actually get more hits in. Most of the time it seems to miss though, and he just jumps into the lava right as the kick gets there, or right before your punch lands. Obviously this would make the fight go down a lot quicker if it was done consistently.
And now, the final act begins. The Captain is on the way to chapter 7 for a spectacular, Ultra-Vrated final showdown…on the next episode of…Viewtiful Joe…'till then…tataa…
Star Ocean 3.
Metroid Prime
I wake up this morning thinking to myself “Damn… Whens the last time I played a good game?” There are so many games these day that are so full of shit its now hard trying to spot the good ones(buried treasures). I mean really how many times do I have to see the same WW2 fps or the same anime ish RPG’s that the japanese are shoving down our throats… I could go on and on but who cares…
So I picked up Metroid prime last week (Got the metroid bundle) all I have to say is wow! I love the atmosphere in this game… the music the graphics everything is fantastic.
If you havent picked up MP or you dont have a gamecube I might have to shop your head off… the Bundle is only $99… go get it now
Thanks for the link! Looks like I really didn’t miss too much. But that third censored scene… man, atleast tell us it happened somewhere in the game… loser got what he deserved! I’m AAALLL on Fou-lu’s side…
3rd strike is the best! Even though Gill kicks my ass on a daily basis…
1 more week until Gradius! YES
Currently playing - 3rd Strike, and Red Faction 2 PS2.
