I’m glad that Dr. Gero’s stories go the way they do, because it would be a pain and a 1/2 to beat the game with him. I’d rather they put #17 playable instead of him.

yeah^…I wouldn’t even care if #17 was just #18 with slightly different pieces of the same sprite. I wouldn’t even care if they just gave him the same moves as 18. I just want him in the game…as well as Zarbon, Dodorria, Nappa, Dabura, and perhaps even Pui Pui…and yeah…Jeice and the other Ginyu guys. (*not sure how they’d handle Guldo in a game though…a “time stop” power is potentially a VERY cheap move in a fighting game…perhaps make it so he can only do it once or twice in a fight? or a big startup animation?)

I still haven’t bought everything yet. There’s a couple of level 3 characters I still don’t have…as well as the museum and other difficulties. I did play through the Namek saga last night.

…on the toilet. GBA is one of the greatest inventions ever because of that.:stuck_out_tongue:

Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon

Congradulations, Capcom. Your game has managed to do what no other game has done in a long while: REALLY, REALLY, TICK ME OFF!!! Out of the ashes from the crapfest that is BN4’s story rises a task I actually don’t have a problem with. That is until I find out that rescuing ProtoMan involves more gay fetch quests. Now I know why MegaMan is called a PET in the BN games - they should ahve throwna FREAKING COLAR AND DOG TAGS AROUND HIS NECK BECAUSE HE’S CONSTANTLY doing his fetch trick!!! I had to wonder aroudn buying three dumb items and then get 6 FREAKING KEYS!! I spent over 2 hours doing that crap!!!   You have any idea how many random encounters can happen in 2+ hours?!! TOO FREAKING MANY!!!   “The first three BN games have been great. For the fourth game we’ll give gamers a story that involves an asteriod that’s on it’s way to Earth, but all the crap they go through along the way such will have jack squat to do with the plot.” “Brilliant! Let’s get that sucker out the door!” If I ever see anyone that worked on BN4 I will give them the most server backhand EVER!!! I like the game but there is too much crap that keeps it down. SCREW YOU, CAPCOM!!!

I just checked out the new Astro Boy game for the gba. It’s pretty awesome. Megaman fans (im looking at ReggieH) should check this game out when it hits the states on the 17th. This game has great graphics. Hopefully the ps2 version will be this good too.

When exactly is Street Fighter Anniversary Collection coming out? I’ll reserve it just like I did Megaman collection.

You’re talking about Astro Boy: Omega Factor, right? I didn’t have much interest in the game until I found that Treasure was making it. Now that I’ve seen screens and a review (Game Informer gave it a 8.5 and sound the praises of Astro Boy) I’ll be getting that sucker when it comes out. And yes, I hope the PS2 version is also just as good.

As for Strett Fighter Anniversary Collection, acoriding to GameSpot it will be released on August 31, which means it probably won’t be in stores until the Sept 1. Blasted Shipping dates.

Astro Boy does look like a tight little game…I may get that…

DBZ:sw = wellllll…Dr. Gero isn’t completely pathetic. I’ve devoted more time to playing this character for a change. It’s not too much of a hassle to powerup. I think he can absorb ki shots(not beams) with his hands up like in the cartoon. I know for sure though that he gets ki by melee fighting and grabbing. I still think he’s one of the weaker characters though…and I still would rather have had 17 in the game.

I’ve played quite a bit of Z Battle now. I like this…there’s powerlevel rankings just like Challenge mode, except you can just play one person if you like. So far, my best has been 20+million powerlevel with Frieza…oh, and the last fight with Goku went down just as it should’ve of course. It was a decent fight…I was already winning, but I decided to use the Death Ball anyway, and blew up the planet…just to be a bastard.

PSO --more tales of The Chojin! Coming soon!

Hey, Million how in the world did you get a power love of over 20 million? And yeah, I love blowing up the planet! I did that against LV 3 Gohan once. He had full health and he was still screaming “Waaaaaaaaahhh!!!” when he died:D I know what you mean about Z Battle. I like the 1-on-1 fights. I can have loads of fun with Goku’s Instant Transmission move. I used it to escape Krillin’s one move where he says “This is the result of my training!” I hope they make a sequel to this game.

I only played through a little bit of Astro Boy: OF, but it is really good. I’ll get around to finishing it whenever I get around to it(Gotta finish MMZ 1+2, Tales of Destiny 1+2, AND Superstar Saga)

…Speaking of Megaman Zero, that shit is unforgiving. I got stuck at Neo Arcadia with no continues, and I couldn’t make my way back to that base(the one with the big ass pitfall) to get some more. I had to restart my game.

…But it’s really fun to play and challenging to boot. Good Job Capcom.

I’ve seen people at the Gamefaqs board claiming much higher powerlevels…but ya never know with those people. (*a LOT of bragging at pretty much any gamefaqs board is difficult to believe…)

The only ranking I got that was even close to the 20million was 13+ million with either Frieza again or SuperBuu.

Mega Man Zero was very hard for me at first. But once you get some good cyber elves and extra lives, the game isn’t so hard but it can still be challenging. http://www.planet-megaman.com
helped me get through that game a great deal. I suggest going there and using their guides on the game. I don’t think they have one up for MMZ2 yet. I still haven’t opened my copy of MMZ2 yet, either. Gotta get around to that.

I hear ya on the Gamefaqs.com bragging. A lot of crap goes down over there so I wouldn’t doubt if many of them were fibbing.

On a side note, I LOVE the 2D sprites of DBZ: SW! And those mode 7 scrolling effects own! reminds me of the good old SNES days. Ah, nostaliga.

i thought the elves only worked once? i would prep up and use one and then if i died it’d be useless anyway :frowning:
or are there ones that you can keep permanently?
megaman zero is hard

The cyber elves do only work once but you can collect a ton of them. I recommend finding some recover type cyber elves or those that give you cover fire in battle. Some cyber elves need raising in order to be used properly.

I beat Mega Man 1 on MMAC without using any continues. Of course I died a few times but by the end of the game I had a score of 1183400.

speaking of Megaman I recently just played Megaman Legends and thought it was actually pretty good. now I’m playing Misadventures of Tron Bonne. what did you people think of these spinoff Megaman games, since I actually hate the regular ones.

Phantasy Star Online - Chojin Wayward Path-
Another evening at the Ultimate Ruins…4 Delsabre’s leap thru the darkness, and The Chojin was caught off guard. They slashed wildly thru the air like demonic animals. However, this lack of precision and polished fighting style was nothing the Chojin couldn’t handle. Low-level hunters would provide more of an interesting fight. With an Ice Staff+9, a blast of Rabarta froze 2 of them on the spot. Simple Barta shots took care of the rest. It was easy to lure the survivors into a line, so they could eat a few Barta spells as well. Still, this would not be the end…

Gran Sorceror and Dark Bringer suddenly appear from nothing. This was infinitely more interesting, as that kind of alliance could potentially be a problem. A small army of Dimenians appeared, and now we had a show. Dark Bringer charged thru, and knocked Chojin right on his back. There was slight confusion, but a Sol Atomizer quickly solved that problem. Bringer’s hit actually saved Chojin from G.Sorceror’s Grants attack. Bringer began swinging that large sword-arm, which still did some damage despite a Jellen spell from earlier. Sorceror was oddly gone for quite awhile…

Finally, Bringer went for his ultimate attack-- the Dark Shot. The Chojin had come a long way in power, but even he knew not to take this situation lightly. Bringer’s Dark Shot could still outright kill him most of the time. Mystical light emanated from the floor as usual, as Dark Bringer gathered powerful magic energy…Chojin sidestepped the arm, and froze him with Rabarta. Another round of Barta, and the Dark Bringer was finished. The Dimenians tried a smothering tactic, but they were too weak, and taken down by a sudden Rafoie blast. The Gran Sorceror was all that remained now, as the Chojin stepped forward from the magical fire. The right crystal was taken out first, after regenerating from earlier…the Chojin then took out the Holy Ray. Moments later, the Gran Sorceror was slain with piercing beams of divine light. This battle had been much more satisfying than the recent outings…and once again…the Chojin stood alone admidst the fading bodies of failed demons. He was now one step closer to Aura field…level 149 had been realized. It would soon be time to set the initial stages of his Final Plan into motion.

I like the Legends series a lot. Various people here dont like it for various reasons, but it’s cool for me. The exe series I never got into because…well…It just didnt look interesting to me.

Its early in the AM Tuesday morning and I’m playing DBZ: SW. Oh, man! LV1 Goku rocks! He’s got Kao Ken and the SPIRIT BOMB (Note: I don’t care of the Japanese name for it is Genki Dama, I think that sounds super gay) I’ve been getting high power levels with him in Z Battle mode. After finishing Krillin off with a Kamehameha Wave, my power level with LV 1 Goku was 1 was 1,891,440. Mot of the time my power levels are only in the 600, 000 or so.

EDIT: I just got a power LV of 2,073,600 with LV1 Goku against LV1 Buu.
