I started playing MMBN4 tonight. I got into my second match in the tourney against AquaMan who has been “cuteified.” Despite his cutesty look he was one tough dude to beat. I lost and had a Game Over so I customized my chips. Took him out good on my second try and now I’ve got his powers. However, using his powers perimintly costs me an Aqua chip and the uninon only lasts for 3 turns. Still, MM’s new duds that he dawns while using it is pretty cool. The final in the Tourney has me up against Top Man.
I know I’ve been harping about DBZ: SW like mad but I can’t stop praising the game. It is TOO GOOD! Budokai 3 has some seriously tough competition. Even with the movie and GT characters, if Budokai 3 is nothing more than the same old same old, then I will be dissapointed. You’d better be able to fly at will in B3 and Fusioned charaters better be stand alone fighters like Gotenks is in SW. 18 can fire unlimited ki blasts as long as she has enough ki. Unlike the rest of the fighters she doesn’t charge up ki she has to get it by landing kickspunches.
I’ve been rather obsessed with Final Fantasy Tactics for the past four months, though I’ve been replaying it and on for the past year or so.
I’ve been doing Solo Straight Character Challenges or “SSCCs”. This just means that you can use Ramza and only Ramza in one class starting from Dorter Trade City (the first encounter) to the ned of the game, at Graveyard of Airships (Altima II). I’ve in process of doing:
[list=1]
[]Lv. 99 Taurus Summoner SSCC, which is stuck at Altima. I was the first one to start it, about a year and a half ago, well, at least a year ago, and someone still beat me with a Gemini Summoner SSCC. I swear that I underestimated this stupid bitch and overestimated the problem of speed (since Summoners aren’t exactly Ninja).
[]Lv. 35 Capricorn Thief SSCC. This one is stuck at Golgorand because I either Steal Gafgarion’s Weapon at relatively low percentages and then killed by everyone else or I go without a Mantle (I do 160 with an Air Knife and 108 Gems), and die after killing someone, usually a Time Mage. I’ve been thinking that if I can get lucky with a front Steal first and go in with an Assassin Dagger that maybe I’ll win because Steal Heart sucks ass for the most part; damned Thief MA.
[]Lv. 27 Gemini Wizard SSCC. I’m not stuck. I’m just not sure that I’m going to continue since it seems so damned difficult to find a Wizard at Zeklaus Desert and I’m rather taxed with item hunting from the moment because I spent four straight hours looking for an Air Knife in my Thief SSCC. Otherwise, it’s been pretty damned easy.
[]Lv. 33 Mediator SSCC. My current active one. It seems that I only win battles because of Invitation at times. Otherwise, my main worries are Golgorand (overlevling to Lv. 36), Velius (who no one has beaten yet), outside of Limberry and probably inside as well, Dycedarg (yes, just Dycedarg since Adramelk will otherwise get himself fucking killed when he confuses me), and the big bitch herself, Altima (it’s so damned difficult keeping that tart of a sister alive when she comes out of her possession with 1 HP).

Uh yeah, that’s largely it. I have a game I borrowed from a fri… er an associate and while I forget it’s name, I’ll probably play after I finish reading all six of my summer books.
Oh, now I remember, the name of the game is Front Mission 3 IIRC.
Disgaea is kicking my ass. I’m stuck on the battle against Vyers, and I keep losing cause my team gets swarmed or just flat out blasted by the Archer and the Green mage. My party is:
First thing you do is take out the geo stones. Just toss Laharl over there and have him use Blade Rush or whatever it’s called (it’s been a while). The rest should be pretty straightforward.
Other than that, your levels are also pretty pathetic :p, so it couldn’t hurt to get everyone around level 6.
Well, I’ve unlocked everything on Ninja Turtles. Finishing that Damn Challenge Mode (most boss fights all right in a row; has to be done in one life) was a pain in the ass, and all I got for it was Hamato Yoshi (Splinter’s trainer) for Battle Mode. But still, the game was pretty fun and I really enjoyed Story Mode. I can’t wait for the second one, and Casey better wear his hockey mask when you play as him this time!
Apparently, the game must’ve been rushed…and it’s bare bones…NO EXTRAS AT ALL. This doesn’t mean I absolutely refuse to get it…just that it’s not worth full price, imo. I was expecting some alternate skins at the very least.(*like that sexayy venom symbiote suit! or the tight 2099 costume.)
DBZ:Supersonic Warriors —I should unlock some more stuff later today…perhaps Majin Vegeta(his level 3).
SuperBuu continues to DEMOLISH the competition.
*sidenote—I still haven’t seen what happens when time is up on Freeza’s Death Ball attack…it sounds hilariously cheap though(*blow up a whole planet to win:lol: I’d love to do that at least once in life…provided I’m powerful and can survive in space like Freeza of course.)
for some reason i decided to buy NES Classic Legend of Zelda, I’d avoid it, the screen is like compressed and everything looks shrunk, it takes some getting used to, but overall definately not worth the $20 for the nostagalia. I wonder how many copies they sold of Ice Climber, they seemed to over estimate it’s popularity.
Besides that been playing Bof1 on GBA, too many random battles not enough Marble 3! =(
Haven’t been playing anything since finishing TMNT. No time recently. I’ll probably try to finish up Sonic Adventure DX, as all I have left is to win the Chao Races, and then I’ll have access to all the GG titles and Mecha Sonic in story mode. Either that, or work on emblems in SA2Battle, which I wasn’t originally intending to bother with, but probably will now as I’ve heard that the characters can get alternate costumes, and I’d love to see Rouge’s.
They may have been counting on their popularity as characters in SSBM. Honestly, I never played it on NES, but if I had a GBA I’d buy it just because of that and to see what their original game was like.
Well with Spiderman 2, most of its replay value is grand theft auto like: Find a lot of stuff, stop random crimes, play mini games, and other stuff. I do agree they shouldve had the suits, but this is based on the movie so I guess they decided not to add them. Swinging around the city in this game is worth it to me.
Finally played DBZ:Supersonic Warriors. This game is the truth. This game is dbz. Budakai needs to seriously revamp its gameplay system to this. Still learning how to play, but good nevertheless.
last night, I actually attempted to make some progress in Sailor Moon Another Story for Super Famicom (actual cartridge in JP) , so far so good. I just got Hotaru Tomoe (sailor saturn) out of Juuban Hospital. Good thing this game is broken into chapters, as the walkthrough from GameFAQs is. Then every time I finish a chapter on the cartridge, I’ll replay the chapter on the English rom on Z-SNES to see what I’ve been through.
Amen. DBZ: SW IS the truth. It kicks an unlimited amout of booty. If Budokai 3 isn’t like this or if it doesn’t even come close to this then the game will suck. Hard. I don’t care if the game does let me play as Gogeta. If the game doesn’t let me fly at will and do all the stuff SW does then Dimps and Atari will have wasted their time.
I finally played as Super Buu (LV 3 Buu) in SW. Wow. He OWNZ. The Human Extinction Attack was too much fo Mystic Gohan (Lv 3 Gohan) and LV. 3 Goku. Of course Piccolo is still one of my faves. His Makosen (or whatever that tight green fire ball attack is) rocks. Even SS2 Gohan can’t handle that.
As for Mega Man Battle Network 4. I have won the tourney, which was pretty fun as well as challenging. I like the game but those dumb, tedius tasks have got to go
Fatal Frame 2, this is a creepy-ass game with lots o wack ghosts, a bit more creative looking ghosts than Fatal Frame. Even though the ghosts are dead people, they still look hot…yep.
Suikoden 3< this game is too long
GTA Vice City, I dunno, maybe its me, but the missions IMO just got boring. Catching a guy on the rooftop? When will I get to start doing things like covering the guy making his transaction?
Devil May Cry, putting it on normal mode first is a bad thing
There’s still a bunch of games that I have to play afterwards like FFX, FFX-2, Shadow Hearts, Way of the Samurai 2 when I get the money, same thing for Onimusha 3. Dammit al.
Still playing Mega Man Battle Network 4. The gameplay rocks with the battles and all but these blasted erands are killing me. What is wrong with the world when an 11 y/o and his PET have to fix all of their dumb problems. Kid should wear a sign on his back that says “Anyone’s Lapdog”.:bluu:
Geez. Mother fucker 5th stage boss!!! The bastard just keeps managing to get a shot in before I can off his ass!! I’m starting to wonder if anyone has EVER seen the red Einhander without cheating. Still, I’m determined to get it.
Played some more Demon’s Crest earlier. I just threw my controller on that Ice Lion boss. He’s always going in invincible mode when I get just one hit off him with the Buster Gargoyle, and I don’t even know if he’s supposed to change color when he’s almost down.
(I was sure I posted this already…)
I finally beat Vegeta’s story today. The fight with Super Buu went on for a long time…and I barely made it. I was Goku(:bluu:.) and across the screen. ONE MORE HIT of anything would’ve killed me, and SB was also up in the air on the other side…I charge up and SuperBuu fires off some weak ki shots just as I let loose a Kamehameha! The shots were right on top of Goku when the beam came out…SuperBuu got hit, and died! It felt like I was fighting him for about 3 years…this was such a relief.
No loses either…so I got the Special battle with Trunks after that. He pissed me off since he kept on doing the throw move over and over…but I showed that little punk what’s up. Final Flash right in his stupid ass FACE. That’s one to grown on straight from ya pops, bitchass Trunks.
Android 18 has been kind of fun to play lately. Her story was also a lot easier than I was expecting. I thought she would be one of the sucky characters since she charges in a different way(melee attacks for ki build-up)…but I destroyed all with her.
Doesn’t Krillin’s Destructo Disk kinda suck? His big energy ball attack(where he says “This is the result of my training!"”) seems much better…the Disk just seems wildly inaccurate, while the ball will light their ass up and even open up some combo opportunities.
Freeza’s Overdrive = stupid. I’m just now noticing that his energy goes down FAST when you activate that. That makes no sense…
I also wish you could play as a Cell Jr. Those little guys were cool.
